Hajime gripped his bag, brought out his skates and laced them up. He got onto the ice and started making small talk with Kazuichi. After a few minutes I noticed they were laughing.
"That's a good sign..." Sonia gave me a strange look and I realized I had spoken out loud. I fiddled with my hands and adjusted myself on the bench. "Oh, sorry."
"It's fine." Sonia flashed a smile and sat down next to me. "But you don't seem fine." Her face was full of concern as she glanced at Kazuichi and Hajime.
"I don't know what you mean." I deflected.
"I think you do." She nudged me with her elbow.
"Just to clarify..." I was trying my best, but nothing could get past an Ultimate. Especially the Ultimate Princess.
"Hajime!" She said as if it was the most obvious thing in the world.
"What about him?" I wasn't the lest bit surprised she caught on.
"Well obviously, he likes you." Does he? I didn't want to get my hopes up.
"What makes you think that?" I crossed my arms.
"Well, one; he was looking at you the entire ride, two; he asked to join the class and three; he was at your house!" She pointed out the obvious.
"You don't know that for sure." I looked away from her.
"I know!" She hopped up and skipped over to where Ibuki and Peko were standing. I sighed and looked over at Hajime. I decided to skate to get my mind off of him. I quickly laced up my shoes and made my way to the ice. I skated casually and kept my head down so I didn't look at Hajime, which wasn't a good idea, because I ran into someone. I fell down and realized who it was.
"Just my luck." I rolled my eyes.
"You." I glared at Nagito. He chuckled and stood up. He laughed and skated away. I stood up and started skating away looking behind me to make sure he didn't come back, before looking back to the front. That's when I noticed it had started snowing, maybe we'll have a white Christmas.
"Hey, Chiaki!" I turned and saw the girls waving me away, I decided to join them. I stepped off the ice and noticed that they had hot chocolate.
"How's our class rep doing?" Ibuki asked.
"I'm good." I told her.
"H-here." Mikan handed me a cup of hot chocolate, she almost dropped it.
"Thank you." I graciously accepted it. I took a sip, it was really good. "Who made the hot coco?"
"Who do you think? Ms. Yukizome, obviously!" Akane told me. That was no surprise. I looked back at the ice.
"Hey, stop it." Mahiru poked me.
"Wha-what?" I asked her.
"Don't look." Sonia clarified.
"How do you know who I'm looking at?" I questioned her.
"We never said you were looking at anyone." Akane folded her arms and smirked.
"Well, well, you never said I wasn't." I retorted. Sonia chuckled and Mahiru shook her head.
"If you like him, go tell him!" Hiyoko said. Mahiru put a hand on her arm.
"Calm down." Mahiru told her. Hiyoko quickly apologized. "But seriously, go tell him." Mahiru gave me a stern look and I didn't know what to do except nod. I turn around and go to find Hajime. I noticed that the boys had begun to grow suspicious of our gathering, but I ignored them. After a few minutes, the girls began to disperse. I went to go find Hajime, but by now more people had arrived at the rink and it was difficult to locate him. I felt someone tap me on the shoulder.
