Me and Jess decided to play hookie from school and hang out today. We decided that we would have a picnic in the park and then come back to my place to watch movies. Im suprised me and Jess were even up for this today. Espically considering the fact that we both got into it with Leroy and Vinnie yeaterday. She Facetimed me this morning and we told each other everything that happened. Apparently her and Vinnie got into it, but she wouldn't tell me what it was about. She left bits and pieces out of the story which made it really difficult to truly understand what was going on between them, but It's probably not my place to know anyway.

"Jess stop looking at your phone like a mainiac. Yall are fighting and hes a guy. Guys have pride. And they'll do whatever it takes not to cave in."

"You dont know that. He might." She sighed.
"Ugh who am i kidding? Hes so pissed at me, i can just feel it. Ive left him a billion messages and phone calls and still, nothing."

"Well at least yall are just fighting. Me and Leroy are over, for good. He's made it abundantly clear that he never wants to see me again. I just wish there was a way i could reverse everything like it didnt happen."

"Yeah well good luck trynna get him to forgive you now. You kissed Luke, Jas, again. He'll never forgive you for that."

"Gee thanks for your support and compassion Jessica." I said sarcastically.

"Oh come on you know its the truth. When he said "just go to Luke" you didnt think he actually meant it, did you?"

"No he did. He made sure that he was clear on everything he meant. With the yelling and the sarcasm, all of it. I know what he meant and what he didnt. And unfortunately for me, he meant all of it."

Jessica puts her arm around me and rubs my other arm on the opposite side of her.

"Lets just start the movie. I cant bare to think about them right now."

"I agree."

Jessica grabs the popcorn bowl from the ottoman and puts it between our blanket and clicks play on the remote.

Leroys P.O.V

Me and Vinnie decided that since we were both going through it with the girls, we decided to play hookie from school today. He suggested that we go go-kart racing and then go back to his garage and just hang out. Which in all honesty, i was down for.

After that visit from Jas yesterday, my minds been all wonky and ive just got a whole lotta anger i needa get out. Right now me and Vinnie are chilling in his garage talking about the day we had yesterday.

"So you and Jasmine are officially over now?"

Vinnie asked while tossing a mini basketball in the air and repeatedly catching it.

"We were never a thing." i responded very monotoned.

I was looking out the garage door as it started to rain and thunder.

"Dude, your so in denial."

I scoff
"No where close."

i get up and grabbed a soda from the mini fridge across the room.

"You liked her, Leroy. Its okay to admit that. You dont have to be this guy who sees the world as a sphere of black clouds. Its okay to be happy."
