Its currently the end of 4th period. I knew after this class i had lunch. Since i lost Jessica and no longer cool with Leroy, I've had no one to sit with at lunch. I can't even begin to explain the amount of humiliation you feel sitting at a lunch table all alone by yourself. It makes you look weak, like your a introvert, friendless. But i was friendless. I had no friends. Jessica was my only friend, my best friend, and i lost her. I considered Vinnie a friend but only through Leroy. Without him around, me and Vinnie would never be seen hanging out with each other. For the last month, I've been getting my lunch really early and taking into the school instead of sitting outside in the courtyard. I've been eating my lunch in the bathroom stall all by myself. I figured it was better eating lunch alone where no one could see you, than eating lunch alone where everyone could see you. Sometimes, i wont even be hungry and i wont eat. I'll just stay in the building and sit in the library reading all lunch period. I know its sad but its my life now. I have no one to talk to or sit with at lunch. And i don't know, maybe i deserve this. For the whole kissing Luke thing and the spitting in Jessicas face. Maybe this is my karma. I guess I've just got to accept it.
I was sitting on the toilet eating my lunch in my lap, when i heard someone come into the bathroom. I thought it was a teacher so i stayed really quiet so that they couldn't hear me. Throughout the silence, i heard clinking of zippers and shuffling feet. I tried to look under the stall to see if it was a student, but i couldn't get a good look. I heard the mysterious person walk into the stall next to mine and lock the door. I waited a minute to listen to see if she was going to pee or not but she never did. So i thought maybe she was shitting, but i didn't smell anything. The mystery girl was just sitting in the bathroom stall just like me.
For the entire 30 minutes of lunch, me and the mystery girl didn't say a word to each other. After lunch was over, the bell rang for students to go to class. I started packing up my stuff and walked out of the stall to throw my tray away in the big trash can by the door. I walked over to sink and looked in the mirror. I started to fix my hair and my clothes to make sure i look good before leaving out of the bathroom to go to class. As i was leaning over the sink to get a better look at my face in the mirror, i heard the stall next to the one i was in open. The door slowly pulled open and a girl walked out tossing her backpack over one shoulder.
She wasn't just a normal looking girl though. She wore baggy clothes that were way oversized, she had these hunky platform boots, chains around her neck and clothes, and her hair was this ombré of neon green and black.
I had never seen her before but she was interesting to look at. Her style was insanely different and you could tell that she wasnt just some ordinary student. She walked up to the sink next to me washing her pale hands while afterward, looking in the mirror fixing her self. She readjusted the chains around her neck so that they were placed a certain way. From the looks of them, they looked really thick and really heavy. She had similar ones clipped on her oversized shorts. She leaned over the sink to put a little bit of mascara on and some chapstick on her pink plump lips.
"If your wondering if my chains are heavy, they're not." She said aloud still applying mascara and not breaking her eye contact with the mirror.
Its like she was reading my mind
"How'd you know?"
"I felt you staring at my neck. I knew i didn't have a hickey or something so you had to of been looking at the chain."
She screwed closed her mascara and tossed her backpack into the sink unzipping a pocket.
"Yeah sorry for staring i just-not something im used to seeing."
"Why be used to something when you can be unfamiliar with it?" She said looking at me through the mirror. She had these ocean deep crystal eyes that were insanely piercing but i didnt mind it.
"Whats your name dude?" She said closing up her backpack and tossing it back over her shoulder.
"Jasmine." I said stopping what i was doing to face her. She instantly turned to face me as well.
"Billie." She said holding her hand out for me to shake. I slowly took her hand and began to shake it.
"Dont worry im not gonna bite.... unless you want me to." She said in a serious kind of tone. I looked at her with a confused wide eyes facial expression.
"Im just fucking with you dude, chill." She said jokingly laughing it off. I sighed in relief as i began packing up my stuff in my backpack.
"Ight well it was cool meeting you though but i gotta jet. I'll see you around." She said walking out of the bathroom.
She was exotically different. Her style, her hair, her vibe. I think that because i've never seen her before, she might be an underground kid. I mean i wouldn't be all that shocked if she was. She was doing the same thing i was doing. Sitting in a bathroom stall during lunch because you have no friends? That screams outsider. And nobody knows an outsider like the underground kids. It was cool meeting her though. She has a very hard look to her, but in all honesty, shes a pretty cool girl. I hope that i see her again soon.
