finally!

-

"chaengie," you hear someone whisper against your ear, so you lazily rubbed your eyes awake. the voice chuckled, so you immediately turned to face their direction, where you were met by the sight of a laughing brunette. "you seem tired. come on, let's get your room ready."

she got off the convertible and went quickly for your side to open the door for you. when you got off, she was smiling widely at you.

"welcome to my humble home. please, make yourself comfortable."

your eyes immediately landed on the enormous mansion that stood in front of you. it looks really expensive, and it's obviously big enough for three whole family generations to live in all at the same time.

the sight also reminded you of your parents' own mansion back in new york, and you immediately felt your stomach lurch.

the brunette was about to take a step towards the entrance where two guards in white and gray suits held the door open for the both of you, but you hurriedly reached for the hood of her jacket to stop her from doing so.

looking back at you, she chuckled. "what? don't be nervous. my grandma lives here alone with the servants."

you shook your head. "i'm not. it just doesn't feel right staying at your grandma's mansion when we literally just met ten hours ago."

the older girl looked at you questioningly, tilting her head adorably to the side. you didn't want to elaborate because you didn't feel like opening up to a stranger (just yet). fortunately, she seemed to understand right away.

"alright. we'll stay at a hotel, then." she announced with a huge grin. "but at least change into something else first. as much as you look incredibly gorgeous in that dress, you've already been in it for hours and it looks really uncomfortable."

letting out a light chuckle, you nodded. "and the money-"

"don't mention it, princess." she cut you off, pinching your cheek.

"no," you frowned as you both entered the front door of the mansion completely. "i'll pay you as soon as we get back to new york."

"i guess we're not going back to new york, then." she retorted playfully, so you hit her lightly on the arm. "seriously, chaeng. it's fine. like you said i'm too rich for my own good, anyway."

you were immediately met by some of the kim family's servants the moment you entered the mansion, all of them offering their assistance to the both of you, yet the brunette just smiled at them and politely declined.

she led you towards the room upstairs at the west wing where she said her childhood bedroom is. opening the door for you, she motioned towards the laptop sitting on her desk right next to her high-end gaming pc build.

"use that to contact someone and tell them you're okay, since we wouldn't want anyone back home losing their mind because you went missing on the midnight of your own birthday." she chuckled before sending you a playful wink. "and don't take too long to freshen up. we've got one heck of a day ahead."

immediately after saying that, she shut the door behind her closed, and you were left standing in the middle of her bedroom with your face flushed and your heart racing uncontrollably inside your chest.

she really needs to stop making you blush like crazy every fucking minute.

shaking your head a little, you walked towards the laptop sitting on the desk, turning it on and immediately logging in to check your messages.

sure enough, there's tons from your parents, but most of them were just scolding for somewhat embarrassing them in front of their business partners because their rather discourteous of a daughter just straight-up left her own party without even telling a single soul.

what more if they found out you actually ran away to a different country with a fucking stranger?

you'd love to see their reaction, that's for sure.

rolling your eyes, you ignored all of your parents' messages and chose to open jennie's instead, because at least there's someone who's actually worried about me.

jennie: seriously, what in the world is wrong with you, park chaeyoung?

jennie: where are you? are you alright?

jennie: are you with someone?

jennie: you're so stupid! why would you leave your phone here at home?!

jennie: you're so gonna get a smack when you get back here!

jennie: gosh, i'm starting to sound like a mom and it's all your fault. omg,  i hate you so much!!!

chaeyoung: jen, don't worry. i'm completely fine.

jennie: oh my god, finally!

jennie: where the hell are you?!

chaeyoung: i'm sorta in paris right now, actually?

jennie: ...

jennie: you are so drunk, aren't you?

jennie: let me call you

the moment she sent you that, a facetime request from the cat-eyed girl immediately popped on the screen, so you didn't hesitate to click accept.

"alright, chaeng. let's get serious now and tell me where you really are-"

you were confused when jennie suddenly stopped speaking, feline eyes exceptionally wide as she stared at you through the screen in utter surprise.

you frowned, about to ask her why, but then you realized her eyes weren't really directed towards you, but the room where you're currently at that somehow looked a little too familiar to the cat-eyed girl.

"oh my god, you're actually in paris?! and at the kim's mansion!" jennie screamed, so loud you literally had to cover your ears for a split second. "that idiot! seriously, she causes nothing but trouble all the time. she even dragged you to paris with her! gosh, forget it! i'm calling her myself." she continued to rant, not even giving you the chance to speak for yourself.

"jen, it's fine. i willingly came with her, anyway." you tried, but the cat-eyed girl wasn't having any of it.

"you and chu are such a pain in the ass, aren't you? you're lucky you actually ended up in good hands, or else- i swear, i'm losing my shit in here!" you watched as your best friend reached for her phone that's sitting right next to her, typing in something before positioning the screen firmly against her ear. "i'm asking chu to babysit you while you're in there, but expect me to personally hand you and that idiot both of your asses the second you get back here."
