it's okay to like me

"miss kim." the guy from the airport back in new york greeted the second you stepped out of the mansion's front door. "miss park." he said, bowing to you politely as well, so you did the same.

"hello, peter." the brunette greeted as she nonchalantly took the car keys from his hand. "did lisa happen to mention where she is?"

"she's tasked to take your brother to the airport, miss. his flight to seoul moved earlier this morning, so he wasn't able to tell you personally, but he wished to say hello and welcome back."

you watched the way the brunette nodded with a smile. "yeah, i talked to him through the phone already. thank you, peter." she said, and peter just bowed politely again before leaving the two of you be.

the brunette opened the car door for you again, so you smiled at her thankfully. "you have a brother?"

"yeah, and a sister. they're both older than me." she retorted with a grin as she started to drive off. "oh, and junghoon wanted to say hi, too. i called him while i was waiting for you to finish washing up."

the statement caught you slightly off guard, yet you couldn't contain a smile. "you really told everyone here what my name is, already? i don't even know what's yours, yet."

"don't you love the thrill of it?" she chuckled, lips now turning into an adorable heart shape once again. you felt your heart flutter. "you're basically hanging out with a stranger in a whole different country on your eighteenth birthday. tell me how cool is that?"

you continued to watch her adoringly, feeling your own smile widen as you did. "idiot."

a few minutes later, the older girl pulled up in front of an unfamiliar building not that far away from the iconic eiffel tower, once again getting off immediately to run towards your side and open the door for you.

"you know what?" you chuckled, causing the brunette to look at you with a grin. "you need to stop being so polite."

"really? why is that?" she asked as she started leading the way towards the entrance of the hotel.

because i might actually end up liking you more than i already do.

"because-"

"it's okay to like me." she cut you off with whatever excuse you're just about to say, causing you to blush rather furiously. how good is she at reading people, exactly? "who knows, maybe i'm not just searching for another friend in you, either?"

is it wrong for you to assume that she's flirting with you?

because, are you fucking kidding me?

she's definitely flirting with you.
