✨ Y/N's POV ✨
4th year had finally started for me at hogwarts, although it was technically my first. my dad had been homeschooling me because he had so many business trips that we always moved from one place to the other; he figured it'd be best for us to finally settle down and get a new job so i would have the best education possible.
i was hoping i'd make some friends, i never had any because i never got the chance. it saddened me really.we had already been down to diagon alley to get all my stuff and we were already at the train station. i was really nervous seeing all the first years, the seven years, and my fellow fourth years.
i'd learned all the spells and more, all the potion making, for up to my year so i wouldn't be left behind at all. i held on to my white cat i had named frost because of his glistening blue eyes that had tiny specks of white and grey in them. he was gorgeous.
my dad was carrying my luggage, he didn't need to but his way of coping with stress was to work or to help out. i would say he was more stressed than me but, i couldn't really tell.
the train was ready as i saw people hopping on, i hugged my dad tightly noticing his shaking as i reassured him. "make sure to owl me every week," he told me. "i want to make sure you're okay there."i nodded and hopped on, waving him goodbye as i sat in an empty compartment. it was fairly cold but that was alright because i actually prefered it that way.
i noticed two boys strutting through the train trying to find a compartment as they stood by the door of mine, nodding as they knocked on the window.
they opened the door and i gave them a nice introduction. one of the boys was pale, didn't have too much of a tinge on his cheeks and had platinum blonde hair - not that short but certainly not long. it was slightly messy and was parted down the middle as it covered the sides of his forehead. the other was a gorgeous chocolate brown shade, his hair was dark and he had a nice smile. he also had dimples.
"hello" i smiled, petting frost. he was resting softly on my lap taking a small break yet not falling asleep.
✨ Blaise's POV ✨
me and draco had been searching for any empty compartments at all but there were none. we stumbled and found one with only one person in it, a girl with a restful white cat -
seemingly a kitten. we knocked on the door snd open it as she gave a soft hello."heya," draco said with little emotion, "you mind if we sit here? all the other compartments are full."
the girl nodded. her hair was a dark, practically black shade and her light pale skin accented it. she had fair yet rosy cheeks and rouge lips. her blue eyes were to die for, too.
"i- are you new?" i asked her, trying to start up a conversation as i sat down next to draco. i never seen her before and i met almost everyone in our year. she nodded.
"i'm y/n everest." she smiled lightly. "i'm in fourth year, i've only just came though. what're your names?"
✨ Draco's POV ✨
i noticed how in awe blaise was over this girl. we had barely met her yet he seemed very intrigued.he introduced himself to the girl. "i'm blaise zabini, we're both in fourth year too."
i told her my name. she was quite an interesting girl and her cat seemed very calm, not regular for cats at hogwarts. they were normally very squirmy and didn't like me much. this cat was unique.
"what house are you in?" she asked curiously to the both of us. i replied, "slytherin, what house do you think you'll be in?".
she sat quietly, not really knowing how to reply. "well, i'm not sure. my mother was a ravenclaw and my dad a slytherin too."
✨ Y/N's POV ✨
my mother died several years ago, leaving my dad to care for me. it was hard on him but he taught me how to be independant and as it came out that i was, that was a relief for him.
draco seemed very bold, not in a way that he was rude but certainly someone you shouldn't mess with. i rely on second impressions though, first impressions are always rough and nobody (especially me) can ever quite get them right.
blaise seemed similar, but as we got more in conversation he seemed to loosen up a bit - unlike draco. i could tell these boys were gonna be my best friends.
"i hope i'm in slytherin with you two," i told them. "i haven't really met anyone else and nobody really seems to pay attention to me."
i noticed a slight frown on blaise's face - almost as if he was sorry for me. i assured them that it was all fine, nobody except my father couldv'e ever paid too much attention to me because we were always around the place. i don't think that helped him though.
