Y/N's POV
it had been a couple of weeks now. i was out of the hospital wing, i was back in lessons and i was hanging out with my best friends. i didn't realise how much i'd miss it. i even loved the occasional death stares from pansey, something that was hard to miss but made me feel right at home.

i had heard of a tri-wizard tournament taking place at hogwarts this year.
"harry, krum, fleur and cedric got chosen. there's only ever 3 people but some reason harry was picked as well." draco told us. we were in my dorm hanging out after school trying to chill a bit.
"merlin, i hope he'll be alright." i smiled softly petting frost's head. i took a thought to myself. cedric, what a familiar name? i had a confused expression on my face and blaise seemed to notice.
"are you alright?" he questioned. i looked back up at him.
"oh, yeah, just a familiar name.." i answered.
"which one? cedric?"
i nodded. "yeah, i just can't put my finger on it.."
draco laughed. "you probably know him from that ravenclaw party. you were all over him!"

i felt a bit embarassed. i didn't even know cedric that well, i met him one time at a party that i couldn't even remember. and, to be honest, i have feelings for someone else.

it was time for dinner. we headed out the room leaving frost behind with some treats. i never enjoyed going far away from him, but i didn't want to get in trouble. everyone was in the hall smiling excitedly. we missed out on something obviously, we were slightly late just like always.

i sat. "why's everyone so excited?" i asked a friend.
"there's going to be a yule ball!" she said excitedly. all the girls were so hyper about it, and seemingly, blaise's face lit up at the thought - and so did mine. draco didn't seem to care too much.
"dancing's not my thing," he laughed off. we all took bites out of our food.
"so now we're gonna be taking dancing lessons?" i overheard. oh god, imagine all the boys dancing annoyingly. so many of them looked stressed out when they heard about it! i thought to myself.

Draco's POV
dinner was over and all i could hear about was stuff about the yule ball. it was kinda funny, it was basically a calmer version of common room parties. what's the big deal?

y/n parted from blaise and i as she headed to her dorm, still a bit nervous but she knew of it was really bothering her she could always walk in to ours.
"sooo, who are you gonna ask?" i winked at blaise.
he rolled his eyes playfully. "you know exactly who, draco."
"no i don't!" i laughed. sometimes it was funny getting a reaction out of him, it's all for jokes after all.
"stop being silly draco," he punched me.
"say her name! i have no clue who you're on about!" i tackled him onto the bed.
"merlin's beard draco, get off me!" he scoffed.
i liked being annoying. "not until you tell meEEeeEe!"
"okay fine! y/n! merlin, draco, you're so annoying" he pushed me off. all i could do was laugh.
"hAh, you're in love!" i teased.
he sighed. "goodnight, draco." i laughed and jumped onto my bed.
"night, blaise."
