Maria had sat on her bed with her head In her hands she felt as though she'd been crying all day which she had she was currently in Thomas's room hearing them argue about what to do with her Thomas and Madison wanted to let her stay with them but Burr wanted to bring the situation to the cops Burrs rather was a soldier and his mom was a lawyer so they'd believe him keyword was she rolled her eyes at this looking at the text Eliza sent and pulling her hair in a pony tail and grabbing her red jacket building up the courage to step out of the room

causing the boys to stop talking about the situation and look to her awkwardly "I need a ride to Adam's park she said fiddling with his hands and Madisok looked to her confused thinking james had messaged her "for what? he said softly and she showed the boys her phone they all stood in confusion until burr spoke up "who is it?" He asked and maria let out a deep breath "Elizabeth Schuyler" she said putting her phone in her pocket "and your sure it's her Jefferson asking causing her to nod "yes im sure you guys can come with but just stay in the car she said not realizing Angelica Schuyler suggested the same thing to her younger sister whilst eliza and Jefferson both had different ideas

It was now 5pm and the sun was setting it would be later but being as both girls left during lunch it made sense meanwhile (madison was grappling  with the fact that not every issue could be settle by committee ) Eliza had waited at the park continuously pacing back in forth under the ramada muttering words of reassurance to herself she didnt know how to feel

she looked like a mess her checks were tear stained her eyes kept watering her hair was everywhere and she was wearing baggy clothes she was happy to finally meet her online friend although she'd prefer it be under better circumstances but Maria hadn't looked any better also teared stained but a little bit well dressed in the same clothes as she wore at school except she now wore a red jacket and had her hair up although maria thought eliza looked absolutely beautiful the sight was heartbreaking but Elizas natural beauty was just as amazing as her with makeup

Maria walked up to Eliza not knowing whether to hug her or let the awkward tension continue which it did for over 4 minutes before she broke it "Elly" she spoke before correcting herself "Elizabeth I uh I don't know what to say I just I'm sorry I'm sorry about everything I wish this was in better circumstances and I wish I had told you who I was sooner im so sorry maybe not for everything because I'm not going to apologize for doing what I had to do but I'm sorry for the way you found out and I'm sorry for alex being so shitty and me im sorry for making you believe I was someone you could trust she said her voice cracking a bit at the end

causing the other girls eyes to tear up the brunette grabbed the raven haired girls hands "I know this is such a horrible thing to do but I need you to understand this isnt because of you or even Alexander for that matter this is for me for my- for my daughter Susan she said causing Eliza's head to snap up still filled with tears but now filled with confusion and pity "your daughter?" Eliza said her voice broken but filled with confusion

Maria nodded "my daughter I had her freshmen year temporary she's in an foster home until she was safe I-I didnt want to do it but years started threatening her more and more he had the power to take her home at any time  she she would be 3 years old by now " she said her voice cracking a bit "I miss her everyday but if I had the choice to sleep with keep my daughter safe I could even if it meant ruining everything " maria finished tears falling down avoiding eye contact she saw eliza lift up her hand waiting for it expecting to be slapped or punched anything but instead received a hug "I forgive you and I don't blame or hate you for any of this Eliza said tightly hugging the girl whilst Maria stood in shock for a bit before hugging her back sobbing completely into the other girls arms

I forgive you Eliza whisperered holding the slightly shorter girl as she cried in her arms Eliza felt pity and anger how could Alexander let this happen? How could he do this not only to herself but maria obviously if they had nope not gonna finish that sentence she thought to herself they had done it but that means Alexander had seen the other girls bruises and scars he had known about the abuse and continued to use and publicly expose her she felt anger the most anger shes ever felt in a while she let go of maria and smiled softly she had known maria for a few months although it wasnt in person she had trusted her maria had helped her alot and she helped maria

This wasn't the other girls fault it wasn't it was fully Alexander which I'd exactly where all her anger went too "mar mar I forgive you okay? if you need forgiveness then I'm giving it to you she said cleaning the tears off Maria's face "I'm so sorry maria said her voice breaking eliza heart breaking hearing this "its okay I promise it's not you I'm mad at she said smiling softly before letting go of the girls hands "now I need to leave but if you ever ever need anything I'm here okay? I'm here " Eliza said as maria nodded before they hugged one last time before Maria left leaving the schuyler sister by herself to be pondering in her thoughts  before walking back to her car alone  Angelica original wanted to go with her but she knew this was a single person misison Eliza sat in her car putting her head on her steering wheel tears threatening to fall out shakily she let out a deep breath before heading to the last place she wanted to be.
