there's something intimate about writing
with pen and paper
my thoughts spill from my mind
and out the penit's like the ink is my blood
and things I could never say
are brought to life on the page
and that's the way I like ittyping on a computer or phone or laptop
feels cold and sterile
in a font that's strict
there's nothing hiding in times new romanbut in the strokes of my pen
you can see my shakiness from anxiety
you can see the deeper impressions when I feel passionately
and you can tell when tears fell off my cheeks because I went too farthere's something intimate about writing
with pen and paper
and maybe that's why what I let people read
is written in times new roman
