Hopeless

"Let's see what we have," Namjoon said. He really was a natural leader, everyone was quiet and waiting for him to take the first step "Hoseok and Jin found the word HeLa on the neck of Soobin and Taehyun. They also were attacked by a beast-like and another guy that attacked them with.. darts?" he said half asking and Hobi nodded "the beast-like guy wasn't like that when we saw him, he transformed in front of us" he added "right" Namjoon continued "then Byul and I found a friend of Kai's and he told me he got into an argument with his sisters, a big one about them trying to do something that would've make you feel disappointed" he said turning to Yoongi and Solar "he didn't said more, because that's when your cat hypnotized Byul" Yoongi raised an eyebrow at that "we don't have a cat" Namjoon nodded looking down "well, we found it in your house and somehow made Byul act without her noticing. She spoke and acted weird, she actually sedated me and when I woke up she was sedated as well and we were already powerless. She couldn't remember any of that" Moonbyul nodded "the last thing I remember is finding the cutest cat and carrying on my arms. Next thing I know I was waking up here with Joon" all the others were confused, the whole situation was weird and they couldn't seem to find an explanation "what does that mean? the cat controlled Byul's mind?" Hoseok asked, caressing Byul's hand "actually... The cat wasn't really a cat" Namjoon replied standing up "it sounds crazy but I saw him transforming into a human, he was a young boy. I say he was around the same age as our kids" "If you think that sounds crazy, try teletransporting into a new place and seeing an angel" Tae said "because that's what happened to us" Yongsun shook her head no "we didn't teletransported. Someone carried us" Tae turned to her "what do you mean some carried us? It was in seconds, we were here in seconds" she nodded "I know.. But I saw him, he was a boy as well. He carried us, he was fast. Like speed of light fast".

Namjoon was silent now, he was thinking, trying to process all the information "what did you find on my house?" he asked trying to get all the information he needed "just a logo, Team Wang with a sign of..." "two hands together forming a W" Namjoon interrupted Tae and the younger nodded. Namjoon turned to Jin and Jin was looking at him with his eyes wide open "Jackson" he said and Namjoon nodded looking down.

"What about you?" Namjoon asked looking at Yoongi who turned to Hyejin and then at Namjoon again "we found a phone" he said "Yuna's" Hoseok laughed "Our kids don't have phones" he said but Yoongi turned to him "it was well hidden in her room but it was turned off so we took it with us and we charged it" Hoseok was so surprised his daughter had lied to him but Byul didn't seemed surprised "what did you find there?" Namjoon asked trying to move on "we lost the phone. We woke up here as well but we didn't have the phone with us" Hoseok laughed "how convenient" he said angrily "you accuse our daughter of lying to us but you don't have any real proof" Moonbyul takes his hand before he can stand up "I bought the phone for her" she said almost whispering. Hobi looked at her and had to restrain himself from saying something he would regret so he just closed his eyes and took a deep breath before leaving the place. "Please continue, there's things more important right now" Byul told them so Namjoon nodded "did you see who sedated you? How did you get here?" He asked Yoongi and Hyejin. There was another awkward silence.

Hyejin broke the silence "What happened there was the scariest thing I've ever experienced, it was the same for Yoongi. We decided not to give any details because it's hurting us but we can tell you that somehow they managed to make us live our worst nightmares" Yoongi nodded gulping "it was an illusion, but there wasn't like the ones you make Namjoon-ah. This felt so much more real" he looked down and when neither of them spoke again Namjoon understood they had finished talking about it "ok, last but not least, Jimin and Wheein. What happened to you guys?"

Jimin and Wheein looked at each other "Namjoon hyung, we... we don't even know where to start" Jimin said looking at his leader "do you trust us?" Namjoon was confused but he nodded "with my life" he replied. Jimin took a deep breath "We were in Jungkook's apartment looking for clues when we heard someone entering through the door. I turned all the lights off and we hid. Someone entered the apartment and we were surprised at first, we got into a fight and then Wheein stept up and after she immobilized him in the air we took off his mask. It was Jungkook" he said looking at Namjoon. The leader had no reaction, but then Wheein added "we were so surprised to see him that he escaped. but he had left this on the table" she said handing Namjoon a small box and a note.

Namjoon took it and opened the note first, it said:

"I have them. All of them, and deep down you know why"

It was Jungkook's handwriting. He opened the box and there were two rings. Identical rings that Jungkook had gifted to Ryujin and Yeonjun. His beloved twins.

Namjoon sighed "I guess I was wrong" he just said. He knew he had to keep his head on the right place in order to rescue his kids. "How did you get here?" he asked and Wheein looked down. "We opened the box and a green gas got out of it. We lost consciousness after that, but we didn't see anyone else apart from Jungkook" the leader nodded.

"Ok, well... it all points out to one thing. Team Wang is an organization that makes experiments on humans. I personally know the owner, Jackson Wang. The US government had been fighting in order to close their facilities for decades now, but Jackson is smart and he knows how to defend himself. We haven't found anything we can legally use against him. He'd always been obsessed with special humans with abilities, like us, although I don't know how he found out about me and Jin having them. It seems like he put on a special team, I don't know if he created that team in a lab or if he found people willing to help his cause but either way they're powerful. They must have found a way for us to lose our powers and I'm thinking maybe that's why they kidnapped our children. I'm hope I'm wrong about this but he might want to experiment with them, trying to get DNA or something out of them in order to study our blood" Jin was already crying and Wheein followed too "We have to hurry and save them" Solar said "we have to find them" "we don't have powers anymore, how can we do anything now?" Tae asked.

They seemed hopeless and Namjoon hated that. Because for the first time he felt the same way.

"I have an idea," Hoseok said. He had been listening from the door and he knew he had to prioritize his thoughts "I know an ancient witch that can help us get our abilities back. She is going to demand something in return, though" Byul stood up and pursed her lips "she's going to demand something big" she added "but Hobi is right, I'm sure she can help" they all agreed that the cost didn't matter as long as they could help their kids. They made a plan on how to get to her and how to approach her, because as Hobi explained if any of them disrespected her she would kill them without hesitation. 

Namjoon could see a small light at the end of the tunnel and he got hopeful again "Ok, let's go find the old Jamie Park".
