We drove to a parking lot next to the river it was beautiful.
He parked the car and climbed out.
I climbed out and walked around the car to meet him. He grabbed my hand and led me to the "bridge of love."
"This is beautiful." I spoke as he wrapped me in his arms.
"It is." He kissed me head "but not as beautiful as you."
I giggled
"Sure it isn't baby." He chuckled.
"I have another surprise." I lifted my head off his chest as he let go of me.
He pulled something out of his back pocket. He handed me it and it was a lock and key. "This is forever baby." I looked at the old gold lock. The bridge was covered in locks it's kinda of a thing everyone puts their lock with their names on the sides, than you throw the key in the river.
I looked at our names engraved beautifully. "Alexis and Harry 2015" I ran my fingers over our names silently.
"Turn it over." He held my waist.
I flipped the lock and I could physically feel my mouth drop.
The word on the back nocked the breath out of me. "MARRY ME?" I turned around to see harry on one knee. "Lex I love you so much." I wiped a tear that slipped down my cheek. "I know we have only known each other for a good amount of time which felt like an eternity. We are both 18 and I love you to the ends of the earth. So lex will you do the honor of being my wife?" He pulled a velvet box out of his coat pocket and opened it to reveal my grandmothers wedding ring, the ring I have adored since I was a child.
I nodded my head vigorously.
"Yes?" He practically shouted.
"Yes harry." He jumped up and lifted me off my heels in a hug.
He set me back down on my feet and slipped the ring on my finger but it was noticeably too big. "I'll get it resized tomorrow." He laughed.
"Okay, let's put it back in the box for safe keeping." I laughed kissing his cheek.
People clapped all around us and I felt the blush settle on my cheeks. harry grinned from ear to ear. He slipped the ring back in the box and settled the box in his pocket.
I unlocked the lock and harry helped me put it on the side of the bridge. I let Harry toss the key in the river.
