you were on your laptop, still unable to sleep since tomorrow is jaehyun's birthday
you then got onto pinterest, seeing many valentines cake designs..
you looked down and saw jaehyun asleep with his head on your lap
you were sitting on the bed and he was using your lap as a pillow
he slept so peacefully..
you smiled, running your hand through his fluffy hair
he took in a deep breath and took your hand, kissing it softly with pouts
he was still asleep and he did that out of muscle memory
you smiled at him..
he kept your warm hand on his cold face
you turned off your laptop and pushed the portable table to the corner with your other hand
you carefully woke up jaehyun so he could go to sleep on the bed instead of your lap
he looked at you with squinted eyes, sitting up and going to his spot
he laid down, hugging a silk pillow while he slept
you smiled more, tucking in the birthday boy
you then turned off the table lamp, letting him sleep in complete darkness
you got up and went to the kitchen, you put on jaehyun's hoodie that was hanging on one of the chairs and went out to the mart after grabbing the keys and your wallet
you reached the mart and bought 2 boxed red velvet cake and a lot of frosting, you also bought black icing so you could write a happy birthday
you got back into the apartment and did everything gently
you really didn't wanna wake him up..
you read the instructions on the cake box and started the making process
after the batter was made, you poured it into 4 different pans then baked it for 20 minutes at 365°
you laid on the couch, wanting to sleep but you wanted to work hard
you stood back up and went to the kitchen again, prepping the icing
you followed a video tutorial and stacked 4 of the cake layers ontop of each other, you then did a crumb coat then froze the cake
you took the cake out after 1.30 hours and the sun was kinda rising
you covered the cake with another layer of frosting and tried your best to make it look appealing
you smiled as you used black frosting to write a note
" happy birthday to my yuno <3 "
you smiled at the nice handwriting, you were so proud of yourself for not waking up jaehyun
you placed the finished product into the fridge and washed up everything
you then went back to the bedroom and laid on top of jaehyun
" happy birthday ~ " you hugged his body
it took him some time to respond but he hugs you back, snuggling into your neck
" let me sleep for awhile " he said in his deep voice
you smiled and ran your hands through his hair again
