I was furious. Never in my life I would have imagined, that a soon to be king could be like that.

Despite my anger, I had a ball to prepare for. Another night of fake smiles, another night of my hopes for true love running out of sight.

I slipped on a black sparkling gown. It reminded me stars in the night sky. I imediatelly thought of Luciens eyes. Before I could relise that he attacked my thoughts, my mother barged into my room and told me to go already.

The venue was in some kind of lords home. Nothing I haven't seem before, but it indeed had a beautiful glass terrace with a small observatory.

The ball was to honor Lucien. He came down the stairs with his brother as everyones eyes were on him. He went to the side, while his brother went straight to me.

- I heard what happened the other night. I hope you are alright?

- I'm very well, your highness. Thank you for your concern.

- Would you like to dance, my grace?

- I'd love to.

As the prince was leading my hand, I felt an intense gaze staring at me. Lucien.

Me and the prince danced for 2 songs, until I went down, to grab a drink. Lucien went up to me.

- Enjoying the night I see?- he said with a smirk

- Very, your majesty.

- Care to join me for a dance?

I doubted for a while.

- Well, it would be rude to reject the soon to be king..- he said teasing me.

I rolled my eyes and took his hand.
Our dance was intense. Everyones eyes were on us. Yet, that didin't bother me at all. I felt safe again. I felt strong passion in our dance. I spotted the prince. He looked confused, but stood still.

We finished our dance, and I felt like I needed to get some fresh air. I went down to the glass terrace. In the middle of it, was a telescope. It cought my eye, so I decided to try it out. It was beautiful, millions of diamonds shining in the sky.

- What do you see?

I jumped out of fear. I imediatelly turned around, Lucien was standing.
He giggled for scaring me like that.
He started walking towards me, I stood still.

- My brother is waiting for you.

- I will be there in a minute.

- Do you enjoy the night?

- Yea, the ball is beautiful and-
He cut me off.

- I mean the time of the day, not the ball.- his face was serious, showing no emotion.

We stood in silence for a minute, until I said:
-Yes, I love the night. It's misterious, cold and dark, but.. its also elegant, graceful and delecate. The stars simbolize a life, a person, showing we are beautiful in our own way. Now please do not laugh at me, but I feel like, there is one star, that feels like home. When I look at it, I feel peace, warmth, hope. I talk to it.. if feels exactly how I feel around -

I didin't dare to end the sentence. I swear at that moment his eyes started shinning even brighter. I even saw a hint of smile. He raised his head to the sky and said:

- I understand you, I feel the same way. I also have my own star. I talk to her.

I smiled, patted him on the shoulder and said while leaving:
- You are nice, when you don't act like an ass. See you later, your majesty.

I heard a laugh escaping his lips once I left the terrace. He was different, I felt it...
