LUCIEN'S POV.

I woke up first. She was sleeping right beside me. Probably got cold halfway through the night. I wanted to stay like this forever, but I had to get back to the palace and reject princess proposal. And to ruin my brothers wedding. Levina woke up shorty and we made our way back to the palace.

The palace was still sleeping. Only servents saw us coming in and immediately took care of us. Shorty, my brother saw us.

- Where have you two been?!

Levina decided to take over our little lie.

- I was desperate for fresh air yesterday. I decided to explore the woods, but acidentally went to far away. I was lost and his majesty only found me halfway through the night. We decided to create a fire and wait till the dawn, because walking in the dark at night is too dangerous. If not your brother, I would have probbably be eaten by wolves.

- Thank God you are okay! Lucien, thank you for bringing me back my fiance. I will be forever grateful.

- She is family now, so she is all of our responsibility. Now, if you excuse me, I have business to take care of.

LEVINA'S POV.

Prince Christian was very gentle and kind this morning. I almost felt sorry for lying to him.. almost. He acompanied me to my room and let me rest for a bit. Tonight we had yet another ball to attend to. But for this one, I was looking foward to. My brother Aiden was coming back from Greece and my mother was trowing him a welcome ball.

My gown was champagne color this time with see trough sleeves, that followed down to tue floor. I was excited to see my brother, he wrote a lot of letters to us, but we told nothing about my engagement to him, so that should be a big surprise.

Me, king and the prince made our way to my mothers mansion. She really went full out for him. My brother greeted me with a kiss on the cheek.

- Good to see you again sister, I hear about your engagement. - he looked at both men behind me - mind if I steal her for a moment, getelmen?

- Not at all, she is all yours today. - said the prince.

My brother took me to the dance floor.

- You look dashing sister, how is he treating you?

- Thank you, Aiden, he is nice to me, but..

- Feelings didin't come yet?

- Yes, you could say so.

- It is not my place to say, but if you had canceled the engagement, I'm sure the prince would understand you. He can have any girl in the world.

- I would do so, but there is one problem. I don't know how to explain my reason.

- What reason?

- I fancy the king, Aiden. - I wispered in his ear.

- For the love of God Levina! How did you manage to end in such situation!

- It is not my fault! I can't control what my heart feels.

- Then listen to yout brain- he said slightly annoyed.

- I'm done talking with you. - and so I walked off. Where to go, where to hide. I couldn't find a place for myself. I wanted to leave.. again, but this mansion is far not as big as the palace I live in now. I grabbed my scarf from my old room and decided to go to the village only 2 minutes away from here. I'm sure nobody will miss me, if I will dissapear for 20 minutes. I trew the scarf over my head and shoulders and dissapeared into the night. The lighting was pretty bad, considering it, that it was night time. I walked for a while, and reached a place, where there was no light at all. I thought that maybe, this was a bad idea and I should go back, but as I turned around, someone gripped my mouth and hit me with something hard to my head.

I woke up in some kind of basement. I was soo scared. I started panicking, my head was pulsing from the strong hit. I started screaming for help, I begged someone to save me. Suddenly, someone opened the door. A masked man came in and said:

- I see you woke up already, your grace. Has nobody told you, to not walk around in the dark? I believe you are quite a good prize for us.

- What do you want?

- I want nothing, but only cause pain to those filthy royals and rich people.

- What will you do to me?

- You will be our maid for the rest of your life. And I warn you now, we are in the middle of the woods, so if you ever try to run, wolves won't be kind to you.

And so my suffering began. I scrubed, cooked, cleaned, provided water and even learned how to hunt for two years. My hands were sore everyday, I never tried to run. I don't even know where to run. The man was always with a mask on near me. I never saw his face.

One night, I realized, that I can't like this anymore, so I planned my escape.
