friends

chapter 2

It was already 7 pm. Ellie changes from her cute top and skinny jeans into an oversized shirt and shorts, she puts on Sam's hoodie after playfully tickling him in order for her to get it. Then, Sam got up and changed from his jeans into his shorts and left his shirt on.

They weren't ashamed or embarrassed to change in front of each other because they knew that they would never judge each other.

Sam climbs into the bed with Ellie and she immediately wraps her arms around him.

"Sorry." She awkwardly laughs and stops touching him.

"Sorry about what?" Sam playfully picks her up so that she is sitting on top of his lap. He hugs her tight after.

Ellie couldn't stop smiling. She had the most amazing best friend in the whole world. For a moment, she thought of Sam as more than a friend.

He looked back up at her, blushing. She did the same.

"Why are you blushing Sammy?" Ellie said after quickly getting off of him and covering herself in the blanket while blushing.

"I don't know. You're just so pretty." Sam said.

Ellie had no words to say. She kissed him on the cheek again. They were both blushing and silent for at least a minute.

"Soo," Sam breaks the silence.

He grabs the remote and goes to MOVIES. He holds Ellie with his other arm. She laid her head on his shoulder, feeling safe. They started to decide what movies to watch for the following night.

Thirty minutes later...

"Hey, Sam. Can we watch a movie? Just for tonight?" Ellie asked him.

"Sure. You pick this time." He replied.

"Okay." She answered and chose the movie, My Girl.

"You always cry during this movie El," Sam told her.

"But you're here. So you have to comfort me hehe." She said before getting more blankets from his closet.

"Oh, okay then," Sam said.

After the movie...

"I'm tired. I'm gonna go brush my teeth okay?" Ellie said after wiping her tears from the movie.

"I'll go after you then," Sam said.

"Ok." She said then walked into the bathroom.

Sam got his phone and he was crying. He wanted her to know how he felt but he was scared.

"Hey, are you okay?" Ellie asked, concerned since Sam was crying.

"Y-yeah, it's just that, the boy in the movie-" Sam lied sniffling.

"Oh no, it's okay baby. It's just a movie salmon roll." Ellie said while turning off the TV and cuddling next to Sam.

"Okay. I'm okay now." Sam said.

Ellie removed the hoodie and placed it on his desk. She went back to the bed and became the smaller spoon. She nestled into his lap, causing him to hug her.

"I love you." Ellie said sleepily

Sam hugged her harder and she turned around only to see his adorable face. Ellie kisses him on the cheek again. They fell asleep in each other's arms, smiling.

"Goodnight Sammy."
