Only Mine

Chapter 3

Suga's POV
The bell rang and Daichi returned to the classroom while others headed to their respective first classes. Before Daichi could leave, I rushed over to him and smiled.

"Hey Daichi?"

"Hm?"

"Would you mind if we ate lunch together? It'd be nice to get to know each other a bit more!" I said, Daichi smiling and nodding.

"Sure, I'll come find you at lunch." Daichi said with a smile. I nodded enthusiastically as Daichi rushed off to his first class. Since I wasted a bit of time, I went to my first class as well. But after class, I quietly wandered the halls until I saw that girl that was talking to Daichi earlier.

"Hi!" I said happily, the girl startling as she looked at me.

"Huh-! Oh, hello."

"Can I ask you something??"

"Sure!"

"You're captain of the girl's volleyball team, right?" I said, taking a peak at her locker which had a team photo in it.

"Yes I am! I'm Michimiya."

"Nice to meet you! I just joined the volleyball team, and I was wondering if you would mind showing me where the meeting spot is after school?"

"Oh! Well you can ask Daichi. He's the team captain for the male team."

"I know, but I'm not exactly sure who he is. And after school I was told to go to meet the team. And, I don't want to embarrass myself in front of him..." I said with an awkward laugh. Michimiya giggled and nodded.

"Daichi would be understanding, but I understand how you feel too. Sure, you can come to my locker right after the last class and I'll be happy to show you."

"Wonderful. Thank you."

"You're welcome, uhhh?"

"Suga."

"Suga! I'll see you after school." She said with a smile before running off. I watched her go before smiling to myself and heading to my second class.

Lunchtime

"Suga. There you are." I smiled, looking up at Daichi.

"Mhm! I asked someone which class you were in so we wouldn't need to waste time wandering about finding each other." I said, Daichi nodding. I grabbed his hand and dragged him off to go eat outside where we'd really be alone.

"Wait, I need to buy a lunch since I stayed last night with you." Daichi said as he followed me.

"I packed something!"

"You did?"

"I had prepared it while you were getting dressed. We can share." I said, Daichi smiling faintly as we made it outside. 

"I don't want to take your food, Suga. I have some money on me."

"Don't be silly. It's no trouble." I said, finding us a spot. Daichi gave in and sat with me as I pulled the box out of my bag. He tilted his head as I opened the box and shared the food I had prepared. 

"Hey Daichi?"

"Mhm?"

"Who was that girl you were talking to earlier? In homeroom?"

"Oh, her name is Michimiya Yui. She's the captain of the girl's volleyball team."

"Ah, I see. Is she your girlfriend?" I asked, Daichi laughing faintly and shaking his head.

"Oh, no no. She's just my good friend. She's been my friend since primary school. We played volleyball together in middle school."

"Oh, well seems like the captains of the male and female volleyball teams would make a good couple."
