After a long work day, Ashlynn was thrilled to finally go home. She grabbed some flew powder from a nearby bucket and stepped into the fireplace in her office. She threw it down and said loud and clearly, "Du Pont Manor".

She felt the green flames engulf her and everything around her started moving quickly. Screwing her eyes shut, she waited until everything around her stopped moving. She stepped out into her living room and dusted herself off.

Home sweet home.

Ashlynn did the basic necessities after a long, exhausting day at work. Taking a shower, skin care, hair care, throwing on some comfortable pajamas, and making herself some dinner. Mark wasn't going to be home for another hour, which was at 10, so she had a lot of time to spare until then.

The young couple had two dogs, both of which were German Shepherds: Harley and Brutus. Going into the backyard, she saw the two dogs playing with one another. She watched with a smile on her face as they chased after one another. Nearby her, she noticed the bright neon green tennis ball and picked it up. Bringing her fingers to her lips, she blew a loud and quick whistle.  Both dogs' attention went towards their owner in an instant. The stick that they were fighting over quickly dropped to their paws as they ran over to her in just a couple of seconds. Ashlynn had a huge smile on her face as her dogs jumped onto her, barking happily.

It wasn't until long that the three had settled on a game. Ashlynn would throw the ball, and whoever caught it first, won a treat. They played together for 20 minutes, before she got their food ready for dinner. Once they were all settled, she walked back inside the house and thought of something else to do.

The house was huge, but was lacking something. It was a manor that had 7 bedrooms each with their own bathroom, three offices, two living rooms, indoor and outdoor kitchen, and a thousand dollar furniture lying around the house. Maids were paid to keep everything clean and tidy while chefs were hired to keep food on the table. No matter how much money was thrown around the house, it never really felt like home to Ashlynn. It was missing the feeling of love, but it only ever seemed like Ashlynn was the only one who noticed that.

The Du Pont family is a long line of pure-blood wizards that are known for having big jobs in the wizarding world, specifically in the Ministry. Mark's father was Minister himself before Cornelius Fudge and his mother was a judge for the Ministry as well. Along with that, the Du Pont family has a huge vault in Gringotts that is only divided between Amelia and Mark, since they're the last living Du Pont's. Ashlynn and Mark's job created a higher status, making them one of the richest, living families.

If you asked Ashlynn what she wanted when she was younger, she would've said money in a heartbeat. It was well-known that she grew up in a poor childhood. Being the first girl, most of her stuff was brand new, while her brothers all got hand-me-downs. That wasn't the ideal life she wanted to have growing up. But now, she didn't really mind the money. She had so much of it, she didn't know what to do with it. It was sitting in her vault, in Gringotts, rotting away.

She went down into the wine cellar and grabbed a random wine bottle. Being home alone felt...lonely. Her ideal way of coming home was being greeted by dinner, kissing her husband, and hugging the life out of her kids. The ideal, but unrealistic, lifestyle. But here she is, making her own dinner with no husband or children to greet her whenever she comes home.

Ashlynn sat in-front of the TV with the bottle of wine in hand. She didn't even bother getting herself a glass, ready to drown herself with alcohol. Turning on the TV, she put on 'The Vampire Diaries'. It was her escape, her home away from reality. The show reminded her about her years at Hogwarts. How the four of them (Harry, Ashlynn, Ron, and Hermione) would always find themselves in trouble, no matter how many times they get themselves out of it. But, it also reminded her of how they would always be there for each other, in life and death.
