The next morning was utter chaos for Ashlynn. As soon as she woke up, her stomach began to swirl with unease from the day that was before her. Or, from the fact that the two children in her were really cranky and wanted to take it out on their mother. All she remembered was running straight tot he bathroom, dropping to the floor and hurling up everything she had last night.
Harry, who noticed she jumped out of bed, ran after her and held her hair back and rubbed soothing circles on her back. He whispered words of comfort for himself and for Ashlynn, as seeing her in pain caused him pain as well.
After her stomach was completely emptied, Harry had made sure she had something to replace the hollowness within her. It didn't help make her feel much better in the end. Deciding that she needed to move on from being babied by her lover.
It felt weird for her to have something to get ready for. To get ready for her job. She hasn't done it in so long that the feeling feels foreign. Feels wrong in a way. Her mind was even more crazed when she realized that none of her old work outfits fit her anymore because of her ever growing belly bump. It frustrated her to no end.
"I can't even find my fucking wand under this pile of shit." She mumbled to her self as she through shirt after shirt around the room looking for her wand. As much as she wanted to perform wandless magic, the children in her already take away too much energy from her. "Oh my Merlin." She groaned when she still couldn't find her wand.
"What's wrong, my love?" Harry asked as she walked into there bedroom. "Woah." His eyes widen when he took in the shape of their room. "What happened in here?"
"Can you find my wand please? I have no idea where I put it and I need it to change the size of my clothes because your -"
"Our." He corrected with a raised eyebrow. She just rolled her eyes in return.
"Our," she rephrased, "children have been driving me insane all morning. Can you please just help me?"
Harry's face softened at her broken tone. "Of course, my love. I think I saw your wand on the kitchen counter -" He wasn't able to finish his sentence before Ashlynn broke into a stride past him and out the door to retrieve her wand.
"Thank you!" She shouted down the hall as her steps grew faint from Harry's hearing.
When Ashlynn walked into the kitchen, Nora was hovering over Amelia still. The latter was pouring coffee with the former staring her down from her spot behind the frying pan. Ashlynn saw her wand on the middle island and snatched it. "The eggs are burning, Nora."
Nora, panicked, turned around to see that her eggs were in fact not burning. She turned around with a scowl on her face and flipped Ashlynn off.
"It's rude to flip off pregnant people, Nora. Stop it." She said in a stern voice.
"How did you see that?" Nora's face scrunched. "Can your eyes move to the back of your head like that weird kid in that one movie?"
Amelia rolled her eyes, even though Ashlynn was the only one who saw her. "I know you off the back of my hand."
"Well, off the back of your head apparently." Ashlynn commented before hunching over to laugh at her own joke. When she straightened, Nora and Amelia were both looking at her with unamused faces.
"Don't you have to get ready for work?" Amelia questioned in a bored tone. Nora was behind her smirking at her. Ashlynn just stuck her tongue out at her before leaving the kitchen and darting up the stairs.
The said stairs were short and wide, but Ashlynn felt like she was going to faint the moment her feet touched the top stare. She was huffing and puffing and was beginning to compare herself to the big bad wolf as she shuffled back to her room.
