"Goodbye, baby. I'll be home later tonight and maybe we can have a movie night or something. How does that sound?" Mark asked as he kissed Ashlynn on her forehead.

"Sounds good." She answered glumly, a small smile on her lips.

Mark frowned at her tone and the look on her face. He walked towards her and cupped her face in his big hands. "Don't be sad. It'll get better soon, baby," he pressed another kiss on her lips, "I promise."

Ashlynn nodded her head and put a wider, fake smile on her face. Mark seemed to accept it as he walked into the fireplace and disappeared with the green fire behind him.

It has officially been one week and three days since her and Harry's affair went public to the world. During this time period, she has been able to communicate with Nora, Amelia, and George after alerting them with a letter of her own the times Mark would attend work and when he would returned home.

Harry was still scared to frightened to send her a letter, nervous of the way she would react when she saw his name scrawled on a piece of parchment. Nora continued to press the man to communicate her somehow, but each time he rejected the idea. That didn't mean he didn't want to. Everything in his body reacted to some part of her. His skin would light ablaze when hers was against his. The way his lips would tingle when he would reminisce in the way her soft, plump ones felt when the two were connected in an intimate way. Her scent was always tantalizing to his nose, causing goosebumps prickle his skin. He was completely entranced by her. Head over heels. And he missed her by his side.

Amelia and Nora were getting close to the Potter man as time went on. Harry wasn't scared to tell the two anything and the two treated him like their brother, Amelia more like a son. Everything that happened between Ashlynn and Harry was known by the two females and it caused them to sympathize more for the two mates, ex-mates. Love that those two had were uncommon for people in their generation. People were toxic or discriminating, so being able to have someone to confide in with your deepest secrets was special.

Ashlynn was making a small snack that she and her child were craving in the kitchen. The thought of having a child, her own child, left her flabbergasted. All of her life she's always dreamed about having a mini her that replicated either herself of her lover. Even though the situation of the entirety of it was odd and perplexed, it could still leave a smile on her face by the thought of it.

She was grateful that her child wouldn't have to live the kind of life she had to live. Worrying about money, small house, getting bullied were some of the harsher things Ashlynn had to overcome in life. Not to mention the war that was looming over their heads like a distraught cloud. But, was the environment that her child was going to be uprise in the perfect place? Did she want her child to call Mark 'dad'?

No. She didn't.

She wanted her child to grow up with the Weasley's and see the lifestyle she grew up in. That if you work hard enough in life, you can grow up in a better lifestyle.

Her child should grow up knowing her uncles and aunts and loving them like family. Amelia and Nora would be in place of godparents, spoiling the child with gifts and unconditional love. Harry was - will be apart of her child's life. And the role he should play is the role that he is. The father. Their was no one better for the job. She knew off the back of her head that Harry would excel at the job and go beyond the limits of being a father.

She needed to get out of the hell she was in.

It was an impulsive decision, she knew that, but the longer she was there, the more she was suffocating herself - evidently suffocating her child as well. This wasn't the life she wanted to live in and it sure as hell wasn't the one she wanted her child to reminisce in either.
