epilogue - 6

Yes I am back!
I know after ages but my university and my studies drowned me till the neck.
But now after all that I am back and this will be the last chapter 🥺

Pia's pov - "Omg! I don't know if I can do this.." I looked at Henry for help.

"You can. Just think about how much you love them" He said while holding my hand in his. I gulped visibly.

We were standing in front of my house. In new york. My house which looked exactly same 5 years back. I missed it so much. Me and kids moved back to New York again. We are staying with Henry now. He convinced me to meet my friends. It's not that I don't want to, I so so much want to. But I am scared. I left them when we needed each other the most.
We left kids with Rick, James and Daniel at home and henry and I came here.

"I'll be standing outside the whole time, I promise" Henry said and kissing me on forehead. I nodded and started moving towards the house and people who were my world once. The people I missed dearly and the ones I betrayed.

"Pia??!! Is that you?" Someone asked from the gate security. I closed my eyes and smiled sadly.

"Yes Jacob it's me" I said smiling. He ran towards me and hugged me so tight. As if I will disappear again. I chuckled.

"Omg I don't know where to begin" he said still starring in awe.

"I'll explain everything but now I have make amends" I said to him nodding at the house. He realised and nodded thinning his lips.

"Goodluck pia and I am so glad you are back" He said.

"Me too" I said.

After that I took slow hesitant steps towards the door, which was unlocked as usual. I smiled remembering how mom used to shout dad for that and the lack of security with children around. A lone tear escaped.

"Mom and dad, I miss you and I am sorry I couldn't keep my promise to always be there for Jenny" I whispered closing my eyes. I took a deep breath, wiping my tears and decided to go inside.

I opened the door and came face to face with the inside of our house. I same living room where we watched numerous murder mysteries, the hallway where we ran wildly and the same couch where we fought over who wins in a card game. All the endless memories came rushing back at the speed of lightning. My eyes watered again but I did not allow tears to roll out this time. Nothing has changed, its all the same.

I heard voices from the kitchen. I knew they were there. I inhaled a sharp breath and slowly walked towards the kitchen.

"Oh hush Mikey boy! You don't need a new car when the last one is still intact" belna shouts to Mike.

"No it's not!" Mike exclaimed.

"No more discussion" belna said pointing a finger at him. Mike begrudgingly muttered a string of curses and ate.

"Avex, can you drop to the nearest library?" Swera asked.

"Yeah sure" Avex said shrugging.

"By the way where is Jenny?" Belna asked.

"Still snoring" ogras replied this time reading a newspaper. Belna groaned.

"Why don't you people listen to me!" She shouts to everyone but no one seems to care. They all eat their breakfast as if nothing happened.

I was standing in the doorway and nobody noticed me yet. I did not know I was crying till the time wet tears soaked my jumper. I slowly wiped my tears and cautiously walked inside from the shadows.
