Part 6: The Accident

After a long drive, Niki dropped Tubbo off at L'Manburg. She was kind of zoning out while driving because she was tired, maybe opening a 24/7 flower shop bakery wasn't in the best interest of her sleep schedule.

As he finally emerged from the forest, Niki felt the car lunge forward and his something. She quickly got out of the car and ran over to make sure it wasn't a person. Just her luck, it was.

The person she hit with her car had black hair that stood up straight on his head. He wore a bright blue sweater with a ":P" face on it. Niki also noticed that part of his right arm looked like it was made out of crystals.

"Oh my god!" Niki ran over and checked the man's heart beat, failing to notice he was still conscious. "Are you okay?! I am so sorry-"

"I'm fine!" The man stood up without a scratch and brushed the dust off his sweater. "I might have dented your car though, I'm Skeppy!"

"Hello, Skeppy," Niki noticed he was right, an impression in the shape of Skeppy's crystal arm was left above her headlights. "Why are you out at four in the morning?"

"I'm meeting someone," Skeppy scratched the back of his head. "I guess he said he might be late... he's probably just picking up muffins or something."

Niki's heart dropped. As far as she knew, her bakery was the only one in the whole city. The last person to order muffins was that guy looking for Tubbo.

"Welp!" Niki tried to keep the fear out of her voice. "I better get going! Nice to meet you-"

"Skeppy!"

Niki turned around and saw Bad. He was holding one of the bags from Niki's bakery. She was scared out of her mind, but Niki couldn't help but feel a little proud to see a happy customer.

"Skeppy!" Bad ran over and threw a muffin to Skeppy. "Who- Oh! You're the lady who runs the bakery!"

"Yep!" Niki went back over by her car. "I've got to... uh..."

Niki put the car in reverse, she should just stay in L'Manburg tonight. Before she could pull back into the forest, a crystal shard shot up from the ground. If she went back anymore, she would pop her tire.

"Stop right there!" Bad yelled. "Why are you going into the forest? Is there something out there you need?"

"Nope!" If Niki wasn't going to show Ranboo where L'Manburg was, she definitely wouldn't show Bad or Skeppy.

"Okay then," Bad said, Niki could tell he thought that was suspicious. "Why don't you just go back to your shop? Wouldn't want anything to happen to it, or who ever was inside."

"Um..." Niki couldn't really find a way to get to L'Manburg without these two following her. Bad and Skeppy moved to the side as she drove her car forward. Why did Bad think someone was at her bakery?

Well, because someone was there. Niki opened the door, she forgot to lock it again, and saw Ranboo sitting awkwardly at one of the tables. She didn't say anything though, as Ranboo looked very scared.

Nikki waited a few minutes before looking out the window. "I'm going to go out, you can stay here if you want."

Ranboo looked up. "Yeah, I uh... don't know where my house is."

Niki shuffled over to her car, trying to make sure her feet were as quiet as possible. Before she even got to the door, Niki heard a voice behind her.

"Where ya going?"

Niki saw a man with brown hair and glasses. He had startling blue eyes, a brown sweater, and a cape with a green and white pattern on it.

"So?" The man asked again. "What could be so important at five in the morning?"
