Lake Witch:

•calm soothing energy

•plants from lakeside make wonderful magickal ingredients 

•ask lake before taking from it and walk around it once connecting with the spirit guides and energy

•Cerridwen: Celtic Goddess ask to guide you with your practice


River Witch:

•examples of river Deities are Boanne, Danu and Sabrina

•get to know your local rivers, canals and spirits that are in them

•meditate close to river

•help the river by picking up litter and thank the water and beings

•collect a vial with moon light


Sacred Well Witch:

•place where the Fae could be found and many believed wells serve ad portals to the otherworld

•famous wells: Chalice Well in Glastonbury, Coventina's well near Hadrian's wall and Madron's well in Cornwell

•associated with healing and fulfillment of wishes

•Goddess Birghid and Saint Hilda

•water collected from a healing well to create protective charm or amulet charge with moonlight and ask spirit guardians before taking from the well


Sea Witch:

Famous examples are Nancy the sea witch of Newlyn, Sea witch of Penryn and Sea witch of Mevagissey

work with debris and flotsam found on the beach

also work with magic of the moon

start off with learning the tidal cycle of closest beach to you and how it harmonizes with 8 phases of the moon

add shells to your altar

each shell has a different meaning

collect crab claws, shells, stones, driftwood, sand, washed up glass called sea glass

label bottles of sand with moon cycle and date collected this can be used for banishing and protective spells

collect sea water to keep on altar ask ocean for it's blessing before taking anything from it and thank it. charge water with moonlight

Swamp/Marsh Witch:

Dark side of water magick 

generally wetlands where water collects and grasses/moss grow abundantly

place of incredible fertility and abundance

good for witches who like working with both sides of magick

has a bunch of healing herbs/plants

can be combined with herbology/green witchcraft

dew is good for beauty and healing

collect dew by getting up early before sun has evaporated it. take lidded jar and gently scoop dew drops into glass after doing this charge with moonlight
