after walking and messing around with nathan for a little, we finally arrived at the school and damn was it big, i was for sure going to get lost in here. i let out a breath before catching up with nathan.
"hey, it's going to be okay," he reassured putting his hand on my shoulder.
"okay," i sighed giving him a small smile, we entered the building. yeah it was wayyy bigger, oh god this wasn't going to go well i just want to go home and cry.
"hey baby!!" i heard a girl yell towards us, she was blonde with green eyes, she was beautiful.
"hey.." i heard nathan say kinda awkwardly as he hugged the girl. oh this was probably his girlfriend..that's great i walked away and found my way to the office.
"hello, you must be new," the reception lady said looking over to me.
"ha yeah i am," i chucked swaying back and forth on my feet, god i wish i was home right now.
"well this is maddi, and she will be showing you around." she said pointing to her.
"hi," she greeted pulling me into a hug, she's the hugging type noted.
"hi i'm y/n," i smiled still hugging her. once we had let go she started to show me around the school.
"okay so it looks like, you have chemistry with mr.ryan first." she handed me my schedule, pointing over to the classroom.
"do we have any classes together," i asked kinda hopeful.
"omg! i think we do, let me see... ahhh! we do 3 actually!" she said excited.
"yes! okay we better get to class, bye maddi." i smiled waving at her.
"bye y/n see you soon!," she waved back, before basically jumping to class i don't know how she was so excited about school, but good for her. i went into my class and sat down.
"hey you new," someone spoke from behind me, i turned around to see a boy with black hair and blue eyes. yeah he was kinda cute i must admit, but i kept finding myself drifting off back to nathan. i really needed to get over whatever it was that intrigued me about him. he was just different, but a good kind of different.
"yeah, i'm y/n," i gave him a half smile.
"well y/n, i'm jaedin." he smirked, bringing my hand up to kiss it. yeah this was kinda weird to do if we had just met.. i chuckled awkwardly.
"leave her alone jaedin," i heard nathan say from behind me, i rolled my eyes and averted my gaze back to jaedin.
"what its not like i'm talking to mary," jaedin fired back at him.
"please stop talking about mary," nathan said annoyed.
"what you don't wanna talk about your girlfriend in front of other people? i see how it is." jaedin took my hand in his. yeah there's definitely something that happened between jaedin and nathan, there no doubt about that.
"no it's not that, you know what it's whatever." nathan said angry as he walked out of the class room. all i wanted to do was go after him..but i decided against it, it's his girlfriends job anyway. i continued to talk to jaedin until class started. this was going to be one boring class i rested my head on my hand and sighed.

school had ended, and i'm pretty surprised i had made a friend by the end of it. i smiled to myself getting my stuff out of my locker.
"hey, you ready to go?" i heard nathan say from behind me.
"don't you have to walk your girlfriend or some shit home?" i said calmly, even though inside i was kinda dying.
"i'd rather walk you home, now let's go please," he begged, pulling up his backpack.
"fine," i huffed putting my backpack on, we walked out the door. i wish he would have just told me he had a girlfriend, i know i didn't have to be such a bitch to him it's just how i reacted i guess. i just wanna move back to my old house with my old friends, recalling the memories i felt a tear slip down my cheek.
"hey, you okay what's wrong?" nathan asked worried, putting his hand on my back.
"it's nothing i just miss my old town," i looked away from him, wiping my tear.
"look i'm sorry i didn't tell you mary, but you know we are still friends," he looked at me, searching for something i just didn't know what.
"yeah it's fine," i broke the eye contact walking away, he caught up and we continued walking.
