Bangkok never sleeps. The lights are alive. The noise never stops. And in their beds, people are haunted by thoughts and nightmares.

New was propped up on the headboard of his bed. He had been staring at the flickers of life from the open window. The sounds of the city drifted in and offered solidarity in his sleepless state.

It took only a few seconds for the whole world to know that he and Tay were actually boyfriends, New thought. He sighed as he imagined how that single tweet flew diligently across the continents and ferried a window that offered a view of their privates lives.

A window but not an invitation.

A siren wailed from somewhere in the city and New groaned as he felt a headache about to threaten the few hours of sleep he has left before the start of a new working day. His gaze turned towards the figure from across the room.

"He sleeps like the dead" New muttered, jealous. He almost resented how the other could be oblivious to his distress. He gathered the blanket around himself and scuttled soundlessly towards the snoring creature who had his back to him.

The couch where Tay was exiled had barely enough space to accommodate his entire body but the ever stubborn New simply pushed him further so he could scoot in beside him.

Tay whimpered as he suddenly felt the constriction but his cry of protest came to a halt when a strong arm enveloped him and turned him around. His muddled consciousness somehow recognized the scent of sunshine and candies, his favorite. This was enough to lull him back to sleep with his nose now burrowed on New's neck.

New smiled and embraced Tay possessively. From under the blanket, he draped an arm and a leg over the other. He was finally warm and comfortable.

With a sigh, he released all of the day's frustrations. "As long as we are okay", he said before closing his eyes.

From outside of their room, sitting on top of the dining table, New's phone was alive with incoming notifications.
