Tay and New had not seen each other for quite some time hence it was perfectly natural from Tay's perspective that a sleepover at New's place was in order. No one could've predicted about the ill-fated confession anyway, not even the culprit.

They spent the whole night until early morning talking and arguing like usual. Everything seemed perfectly normal until Tay woke up the next morning in inexplicably high spirits and decided to confess his love for New right that very moment.

Everyone was puzzled why Tay professed his love for New out of the blue but everyone agreed that it was a long time coming.

Tay and New started out as ordinary workmates who were awkward around each other. They did not have the same circle of friends, their hobbies differed, and above all their personalities were vastly incongruent of one another.

But the world has a strange way of joining odd people together. It took a little bit of effort and a few sessions of after work drinking before the worlds of the hyperactive Tay and the passive-aggressive New began to unravel and meld together. Where once they only used to hang out within their group of work buddies, they began to find themselves going to restaurants, pubs, or at each other's homes just the two of them.

But, it wasn't until the people around them took notice and started pointing out their growing closeness that they realized how they were no longer just workmates but were rapidly becoming close friends. This was also the time when their friends realized that Tay and New were oblivious to their actions whenever they are around each other which would spurn years of frustration and teasing.

"You guys are weird" Off stared at his best friends sharing a single seat out of the dozens of empty chairs available.

"But, I love you both" he added hastily after receiving a glare from Tay.

What Off did not know was that he misunderstood the reason behind Tay's glare. It was not Off's pesky remark that irritated Tay but the former's loud voice threatening to wake the sleeping New whose head was nestled on his shoulders.
