"Hey Mi"

His voice was soft, yet squeaky like it always was, he sat in bed, soft sheets and messy hair, he hadn't just woken up, but he also didn't feel like doing anything fancy with his hair, he felt a bit soft today.

"What ya doin' calling me at six in the morning?"
"Sorry, I just..I dunno, c-can you come over?"

Miles had gotten out of bed to splash water in his face, just to wake himself up a bit, he dried his face with a small towel.

"Right now?"
"Mhm, please Mi.."
"Alright, sorry if I pass out on the sofa or something when I get there"

Alex smiled softly, drinking his tea.

"Just don't take too long"
"Don't push me, I normally don't wake up this early, I'm only coming over because I know you'd be really sad if I didn't"

Alex opened the door, rubbing his eyes, it gave Miles a chance to take a good look at the smaller, he had a big shirt on and some fuzzy socks, his hair was still a bit messy but Miles found it quite adorable.

"Oh-" Alex had hugged him, smashing his face against the taller's chest.
"Okay then," Miles brought himself and Alex into the apartment, closing the door behind them.
"..so did you have a reason to call me over here?"

Alex simply nodded, letting go of Miles and grabbing his hand, playing with his fingers.

"And what was that?"
"Well..thought it'd be nice to have some company," it was almost in a whisper, his soft little voice made Miles want to kiss all over his face and squish his cheeks.

Miles hummed, slipping his shoes and coat off, he scooped up Alex, taking him to his room, he didn't protest or complain, he kept quiet and clung to the taller. He placed the smaller down onto the bed, laying next to him, Alex moved so he was laying on Miles' stomach, the taller ran his fingers through the smaller's fluffy hair, singing to him softly.

Alex closed his eyes, he drifted off to sleep quickly, Miles watched as this happened, the smaller's lips parting slightly, he couldn't help but kiss his forehead and move him up so he was laying on his chest. He wrapped his arms around him, closing his eyes as well, it'd only be for a little bit, until it was at least nine.

"Mm.." Alex rubbed his face against Miles' chest to wake himself up a bit, he opened his eyes slowly.
"Good morning, star"
"M'still seepy"
"Seepy," Miles teased, Alex was too tired to blush, so he put his hand on Miles' face.
"Ya arse, I jus' woke up"
"Get your dirty little hand off my face"
"It's not dirty!" Alex removed his hand, pouting.
"I was only messing with ya, no need to look so upset"
"Arg m'cold." He pulled his shirt down, it had gone up a bit when he was messing with Miles.

Miles brought a blanket over them, he was only fine because he was kind of using Alex as a blanket, Alex on the other hand was only in an oversized t-shirt.

"D'ya hear tha?" Alex crawled out of bed, opening the blackout curtains.
"What is it?" Miles sighed, having just put the blanket over him.
"S'rainin'.."
"Mm, suppose it is," he looked over his shoulder.
"I like the rain Mi"
"You do? It's making you sleepy"
"Doesn't matter, I think it's pretty. The earth can just do it over and over again, it keeps giving in its own ways, imagine all the plants that are being watered right now, getting all that to make their own food and grow..and it sounds really lovely.." he opened the window.
"..don't you think?"
"Earth's music"
"Exactly.." he watched the rain fall, he could watch it all day..until it stopped of course.

Miles watched Alex sit there in front of the window, he had never really seen him so intrigued.

"Well then..let's make boats and put them in the rain water outside"
"We're gonna make boats?!" Alex turned around, you could see the excitement in his eyes, he had never done that before, he and Matt were mud kids.
"Yeah, have you got some paper?" Alex nodded, running to get it, he brought it back, looking at Miles with hopeful eyes.
"Is this good?"
"Yes, that's perfect"
"Mm..how do I make a boat?"
"I'll show you"

They were outside with their raincoats on, along with a big pink umbrella Alex had, Miles didn't question it, he imagined Alex in the store excitedly buying it, he thought it was precious.

"Look Mi! It's going so fast!" Alex laughed.
"Oh yes- I can't believe it..just don't lose it!"

Alex ran after the little boat, he stopped and found a tiny leaf following behind the boat, he started to think about how it might've gotten there. That's when Miles had to go and chase after the boat, because Alex wasn't moving..but he did get the tiny leaf, he put it in his pocket.

"You almost lost your boat"
"I found a leaf"
"There's thousands of them around, star"
"But this one is special, it was behind the boat, it was going so fast..it could've gone down the gutter"
"Al, leaves go down there all the time"
"But I saved this one.."

Miles sighed, ruffling up Alex's hair.

"Let's get you some soup"
