Miles woke up to an empty bed, he looked around the room quickly, seeing Alex about to jump out the window.

He jumped out of the bed, running to the window.

"ALEX NO-" Alex had jumped.

No..
That can't be it. I didn't even get to tell him that-

"Miles! Come down here with me"

He looked out the window, to see Alex on a small balcony, Miles sighed with relief, wiping the tears from his eyes, swallowing the lump in his throat.

"Alex you fucking idiot! I thought you-"
"Wha? Oh..OH- nono, I'm sorry, I forgot to tell you about the balcony! I wouldn't Miles. Come down so I can give you a hug"

Miles rolled his eyes, jumping down onto the balcony, it wasn't far down, and Alex had a ladder for them to use, but jumping was another kind of feeling, it was nice to feel your feet hit the ground.

"Look, I got a spliff just for you and me," Alex put it in Miles' mouth, lighting it for him. He watched him take a drag, then pass it over to him, Alex put it in his mouth, smiling after he was done.
"What's got you all smiley?"
"It's like we kissed," Alex giggled.
"Someone's high already"
"Oh shut up"

After having finished the spliff, they watched cars go by, they hadn't said a word to each other after Alex had made that comment, he was starting to worry, what if Miles was proper pissed about it.

"Are you mad?"
"Mad?"
"Yeah, because of the-"
"Oh- no, I'm not mad, star, just didn't know what to say"
"What is..love like?"

Miles turned to Alex, it was so out of the blue, but seeing the serious..almost scared look on his face- had he never felt it?

"Are you scared?"
"Scared?"
"To fall in love Alex"
"To an extent. Have you been in love with anyone you've dated?"
"No"
"Miles"
"Well I'm not going to lie. I liked them, but I didn't love any of 'em. It's sad- and I feel bad for it, but I can't force love out. Alex, please don't ever force love out, it's never something you have to do, okay? You'll fuck up your life if you pretend to love someone, give them the truth"

Alex only nodded, resting his head against Miles' arm, they watched the clouds almost move together, the taller had held the smaller's hand..it was that moment, Alex felt something inside him, it was like a buzz, it only happened when Miles touched him.

"I love someone"
"That's pretty bold of you, considering the fact that you were just asking me what love is like," Miles wheezed.
"But Miles, I think I know what it's like- I know it's different for everyone but I'm sure of it, 100%, that I know I love someone"
"What is your love like then?"
"It's like wet rocks, and the sun out whilst it's raining. Like goosebumps on the skin, lips bitten raw, bloody noses smushed together whilst kissing.."

It's like I'm addicted to you. Everything you do is amazing. Even when you place your hand on my shoulder, you make me weak to my knees. My love for you burns strong and blindingly bright, please don't ever put it out.
