I woke up with a pounding headache. I rubbed my eyes before standing up.

The house was silent, so I made my way into the bathroom to grab ibuprofen. After taking it, I walked back into my room to play on my phone.

It was Saturday so I had nothing going on. Maybe going to hang out with Amy later if she could.

After finally getting out of bed, I walked downstairs to see broken glass. I carefully cleaned it up, throwing it out in the trash. My dad was surprisingly not on the couch. Most likely in his bed with some random women.

I made a piece of toast and had some water before going back to my room. After making plans with Amy, I decided to get changed. Then I put on a bit of makeup and brushed my hair out.

As I was leaving the house, my dad's door opened. He walked out, looking at me. "Where are you going?" He asked, sounding surprisingly normal for once.

"Going to hang out with Amy for a bit."I said.

He nodded. "Be safe."

I nodded before leaving the house.

It was like all the yelling and drinking problems went down the drain when he acted normal. I didn't see that side of him very often. He was normally either drinking, sleeping or with some women.

I texted Amy, telling her to meet me at the corner to pick me up. A couple minutes later, she pulled up. We talked a bit on the ride over to the mall before Amy parked and we walked in.

We walked around for a bit, before deciding on getting food to eat.

As we sat and ate, I looked around. I always felt like people's eyes were on me. Like they knew everything about me just by looking at me.

"Sam?"

I snapped out of my thoughts. "Yeah?"

"You okay?  Amy asked.

I nodded. "Yeah, I am."

She nodded, before starting to talk again.

"I'll see you Monday Sam." Amy said.

I nodded. "See you Monday."

I waved as she drove off. I walked slowly back to my house. Trying to prepare myself for the worst or the worse.

Opening the door to the house, my dad was on the couch. A beer can next to him. He was only on the first of many more.

"You have fun?" He asked, looking up.

I nodded. "Yeah, I did."

I walked upstairs to my room, flopping onto the bed to work on some homework I put off. After that, I showered and then braided my hair.

My door suddenly opened, and I saw my dad stumble in.

"Get your ass downstairs. "

I quickly got up, hurrying down the stairs. He followed after.

A couple of people who I didn't recognize were in the living room. Laughing and talking with each other. I knew then that I was going to be serving them food and beer for the next few hours.

I set down a beer next to my dad and walked away, hearing the words "She's not my daughter."

Hurrying upstairs, I felt the hot tears streaming down my face. I curled into a ball on the bed, feeling absolutely worthless.
