I shook my foot nervously waiting for Michael to come and let me know it was time to go.

It was the first day that I was starting therapy with Ashton and the thought of it kinda freaked me out. I was scared of sharing too much all at once.

I picked at my nails, staring out the window.

"Sam everything is gonna be okay."

I turned around to see Michael standing in my door. He had his keys and shoes on.

"I know." I said, standing up.

He gave me a small smile before waiting for me. I walked over to him before we walked downstairs to get into the car.

I stared out the window as he drove, trying to think of anything but what was happening.

"Mike?"

"Hm?"

"Do you think you can teach me to drive sometime?"

"You have your permit right?"

"Yeah. I do. I just never got the opportunity to actually learn."

He nodded. "Of course I can then."

I nodded, continuing to look out the window.

We soon pulled up to the hospital and my nerves were starting to kick in again. I felt like I couldn't breathe and I brought my knees to my chest, closing my eyes. Trying to catch my breath.

Michael had gotten out and opened my door, putting a hand on my shoulder.

"I know this is scary and hard but this is the right thing okay."

I nodded, still not able to say anything.

"You trust that I'm just trying to help you and this is a way I'm trying to help."

I nodded again. Lifting my head to look at him.

He reached a hand out and I looked at it for a second before taking it. He squeezed my hand before we both walked inside.

We rode the elevator up to the 4th floor and then Michael signed me in before we both sat in the waiting room.

The room was a bright yellow and had many kids drawing along the walls. There was a TV on one wall and toys in the corner for kids if they wanted to play.

We waited a bit before Ashton came to the door and gave me a smile, letting me know he was ready for me. Michael and I both got up and followed Ashton through the hallway which seemed like a maze.

Finally, we were outside of his door that had his name and a cute puppy picture on it. He opened the door and I was welcomed with a room that I wasn't expecting to see. The room had fairy lights, a couch against one wall, two chairs and then Ashton's desk. It seemed very relaxing.

I sat down on the couch and Ashton and Michael took the chairs.

"Ready to get started?"

I nodded.

The session went surprisingly well. Michael stayed for the first part but then left half way through to give Ashton and I some privacy. We just started off with how I was feeling and what I wanted to accomplish being here.

Ashton made me feel comfortable and didn't go too much into the heavy stuff. He told me he wanted to start off slow and work into it.

I came out of the room and walked over to Michael so he could drive us home.

"So, how was it?" He asked.

"Surprisingly good." I said.

Michael smiled, still keeping his eyes on the road.

"Well I'm glad. I really hope this will help you."

I nodded. "I really hope too."
