The following day, the girls had woken up to go for their early morning walk-out, it was their normal routine ever since they got admitted into the University of Ibadan. “When are we leaving for the supposed vacation?” precious asked on her way to the door, Silver who was just finishing up with tightening her sneakers laces looked up “probably in three days time, I asked Nuel to get your tickets ready as well.” Silver said adding her soda can into her mini-bag. “let’s get going.” Silver said dragging up precious who was lazily sitting at the staircase of their apartment.
“I hope this vacation would be a good thing?” precious said finally before standing to her feet. “Sure it is, we are heading to the gym today hope you’re cool with it?” silver asked precious who shrugged in reply, they flagged down a cab that drove them to one of the well know gym center in town.
As the girls settled off the cab man, they entered into the gym center only for precious to notice the guy from the other day who she had unintentionally embarrassed talking to an elderly man who had a tag with the inscription gym master written boldly on his tag. Precious quietly tugged at silver, whispering into her ear “That is the guy I shouted at yesterday.”
“Oh my goodness, you shouted at Stephen MacDonald? My goodness you’re dummy.” silver said very surprised. “Who is he?” precious asked confused by the way Silver was all wowed by the news. Silver was about telling precious who Stephen was when the latter started walking towards their direction. “Speaking of the devil himself he is heading towards us!” precious said with her breath hitched.
“well let’s say hi.” Silver suggested to precious who was rather reluctant to greet Stephen. The latter soon covered the space between them “Hey, girlfriend.” Stephen had greeted ignoring the presence of precious
“Hi Steve, Been a while, I didn’t get a chance to speak to you after yesterday meeting……so when did you return?” silver asked
“Yeah, I came last two nights.  I had a business to run here in Ibadan. But I got a call from Nuel to attend his get together party.” Stephen explained shinning his neat set of teeth.
“Okay you are welcome Steve, I and my friend are actually heading towards the gym before we sighted you.” Silver said motioning for precious to say a simple hi.
“We have met before, she is in fact the rudest bitch I have ever come across in my entire life.” Stephen said with eyes fixed on precious, challenging her to deny his accusation.
“Huh! I think I’m not up for this insults this morning, silver when you are done with him you should meet me inside.” Precious said looking at Stephen for the last time before walking away.
“sorry about my friend’s behavior, she is not always like this, Maybe you met her in the wrong timing.” Silver defended.
“Maybe for you, but first impression matters and she happens to be the rudest and most sauciest person I have ever come across.” Stephen countered with a frown. “I’m sorry about that once again, I think I should join her as well……” silver said after few minutes of silence.
“Okay, we will hang out some other time, I got an appointment to keep up with as well.” Stephen said and hugged silver briefly.
“Yeah, another time it is.” Silver said before parting ways with Stephen.
Silver wasted no time in getting inside the gym to see precious working out with the punching bag, it was evident she was trying to work out her anger with the way she furiously punched the elastic bag.
“isn’t it time we get going, it’s some minutes to nine.” Silver said knowing fully well that precious knuckles would probably be hurting but her pride wouldn’t let her stop with the punching.
“Sure you’re right, let’s go home.” Precious said pulling off the tight rubber gloves she was putting on.
“Even the country’s economy Is more stable than your mood this days!” silver complained looking at precious as if she was one sort of an alien. Outside the gym center, they flagged down a cab and drove straight to the apartment without precious uttering a word. They were already inside the house when precious angrily dropped her mini-bag and breathed heavily. “That guy has no manner!” Precious said pulling off her sneakers
“Do you Know who that guy is?” silver asked precious after moment of deliberate silence. “I don’t care to know who that guy is, he lacks good home training and manners as well, thank goodness I didn’t apologize to him as I planned earlier, like who does he think he is?” precious fumed unclipping her hair.
“Do you care to Know who he is?” silver asked with eyes filled with mischief. “I don’t want to Know, he can find his way to hell for all I care. I wasn’t even given a chance to apologize, so much pride! Imagine the son of a pig called me a bitch.” Precious said filled with anger. “your anger is so unstable this days and besides you’re overreacting.” Silver said helping her self to the remaining of the soda left in her soda can.
“I’m not overreacting silver, the guy gets me in all the wrong sides, like can you imagine? What effrontery does he have to insult me to the extent of calling me a bitch.” Precious asked looking into silver’s eyes for understanding.
“what is your anger? Is it the fact that he called you a bitch or the fact that he was actually right by calling you rude.” Silver asked amused.
“It is not funny, please stop it silver……. Stop making jokes about this I'm damn serious here, that guy is simply a pest.”
“Well for you information, that is Stephen MacDonald the only surviving son and grandson to MacDonald’s empire, his father and grandfather is one of the multi-billionaires we have in this country.” Silver said with laughter
“And who cares?” precious asked sitting tiredly on the couch
“Well I’m surprised he chooses to talk to you out of the countless of girls seated, he happens to be my guy’s closest alley and this guy in question doesn’t talk to Ladies any how, he is used to them flaunting themselves around him.” Silver said.
“There is nothing special about him if you ask me, I have heard of the Donald’s but it is so unfortunate of them to have a poorly raised son.” Precious countered.
“Maybe from your perspective, but if you get to understand him you will get to like him.” Silver defended.
“Why don’t you just date him and let me be!” precious said angrily, it was obvious she was getting pissed off hearing of how good mister Stephen is.
“I would have gladly done that if I wasn’t dating someone as loving as Nuel…. Just stop overreacting young lady!”
“You call my anger overreacting? Like you were not actually there when the motherfucker called me a bitch, he lacks manner and he is poorly raised. I hope to give him a come back of mine whenever the opportunity presents itself.” Precious promised and silver laughed seeing precious all pent up. “Your anger issue is getting worst than mine every passing day.” Silver said standing to her feet.
“There is actually nothing to eat in the house. Let’s go shower so we can go out and get something to eat.” Silver said changing the topic of discussion.
Precious reluctantly went into the kitchen to drop her soda can alongside that of silver before going to shower up.
Later the following day, Nuel called the girls to get fully prepared because they would be leaving early the following morning for their supposed vacation at the popular Elegushi beach.
Precious made a call to inform her mom of her intention to travel Lagos for the short break.
“Make sure you girls don’t get into troubles, and you girls should always remember that Chasity makes you acceptable to the father in heaven. Keep your body and mind clean!” Deaconess Anna, precious mother advised over the phone.
“okay mom, thanks. We will have that at the back of our mind!” precious said ending the call, heaving a sign of relief.
“Your mom is actually a hard crack but she is nice all the same” silver said jokingly before they went about packing up the last of the things needed.
