part eight

Precious returned to the guest house some minutes after ten, she decided stopping over at silver's room to talk to her briefly before going to her room to put on her wear.
"girlie you went without your phone, so tell me where have you been to?" Silver asked taking note of the straw hat on Precious head
"Just morning stroll, I didn't want to disturb your sleep so I went alone." Precious explained while helping herself to the chicken pepper soup on silver's table.
"You just placed the order?" Precious asked silver
"Not quite long though, Nuel had the order placed....I was simply not hungry." Silver explained. "So where is Nuel?" Precious asked munching on the chicken
"He said he had something to arrange that he will be coming home late." Silver replied making a list on her diary
"And what's that you are writing?" Precious asked and joined silver on the bed
"Mugu, you seem to have totally forgotten that today happens to be my birthday." Silver said feigning annoyance.
"Oh my goodness! I'm so sorry sweetie........ it escaped my mind." Precious apologized. "So what's with the list you are writing?" Precious asked as she looked into the list scanning what silver had written down
"Shopping items for my birthday party, turned big 23 today and I plan on celebrating it with Nuel and his friends so you will help me do the shopping's won't you?" silver asked looking up from the list she was writing.
"Sure, anything for you Silver." Precious replied taking the list from silver to scan down what she had written down. "you don't need some of the things you listed down here like going to the spa, and the Jacuzzi...." Precious objected.
"Huh! Are you serious? Come of it precious , is my day and I want to spoil my self to the best I can." Silver objected.
"Ok, get ready we will be going to the spa first before we go do the shopping, we will be suspending the Jacuzzi for some other time. Let me get dressed up I will be right back." Precious said heading out of silver's room to her room.

The girls happened to come back late, silver had a very sophisticated look and they had multiple shopping bags with them.
By the time they entered the guest house, they were surprised with the chant of happy birthday everywhere it was more of a surprise as the lights flickered on showing a customized art stating "world's silver's day" the instrumentalist came out playing a happy birthday music to silver.
Silver and precious was so wowed by the sight. "Happy birthday to you sunshine!" Nuel Said coming out from the crowd that had gathered to wish her a happy birthday.
Silver who happened to be short of words by Nuel's surprise ran into his warm embrace as Nuel kissed her very deeply in the front of those present.
"This is for you." Nuel said handing her a bouquet of roses. "I love them, thank you." Silver said shyly as those present were already busy taking pictures of them.
After the surprise, everyone followed silver into the room to continue the celebration. Nuel had more surprise loading as silver entered the room, With precious trailing behind them with shopping bags that contained expensive wine and cakes.
After Precious had helped silver set up the cakes and wine they had gotten, everyone got seated for the celebrant and Nuel to take over the occasion.
Stephen made a very brief prayer for the celebrant and got seated before engaging himself with his mobile. Silver had pooped the champagne and had finished up with cutting her cakes when Stephen gave her a present first before the rest of Nuel's friends then finally Nuel who presented her with a total number of twenty three presents.
The whole show of love wowed everyone present and the show alone further made silver so emotional.
"You got me twenty three presents?" silver asked with surprise written over her
"Yeah, you are turning twenty three today and it is always my wish to get you the same number of presents in accordance to your age, it is the smallest surprise I could ever give to you in appreciation to your unending love and support you have showed me ever since you said yes to a guy of much troubles like me." Nuel said with smiles.
"How can I stop Loving someone as caring as you are?" silver asked kissing Nuel this time
"It is time to open your presents." Nuel announced picking up the smallest of the wrapped presents he had gifted silver and asked her to open the rest.
Silver was overwhelmed by the content of the wrapped up presents ranging from the diamond earrings she had always told Nuel she would love to get for herself to the apple wrist watch she had admired at the mall the last time they went shopping together, she wasn't aware that Nuel had taken to thoughts all the things she brought to his notice in an unconscious manner and had gotten her every single bit of them.
Finally after opening her presents in the clear view of everyone, Nuel finally gave her the last of the wrapped up gift, she was so curious to know the content of the last present and she wasted no time into opening the present and it's contents happened to be a small diamond box, she looked up to stare at Nuel who was looking at her with smiles.
"Common babe, open your present." Nuel urged silver who opened the diamond box with a little hesitation and by the time she opened the diamond box what she found was a shiny diamond ring inside, she opened her mouth in amazement and before she could say a word Nuel was already on his knees "baby, I want you to become the mother to my unborn kids, will you marry me?" Nuel asked silver who was totally speechless, everyone gathered including Nuel's friends were all chanting the same word "say yes! Say yes!! Say yes!!!" the love was massive and in all her entire life silver had never seen the need to scream at the top of her voice if not for the angel in human form who was still waiting for her to say yes, among the faces of those who were also present was Precious giving her the sign to say yes, she had never felt this special in all her entire life and to crown it all this birthday has been the most memorable birthday amongst others.
"Yes I will!" silver said finally with her eyes glistering with tears and Nuel wasted no time into pulling silver into a warm embrace. There were clicks and flashes of phone cameras ,and for the first time in silver's life she felt very shy.
The rest of the party continued with lot of drinking and eating, seemed the girls had really prepared for the birthday. By the time it was some minutes to eleven Nuel's friends started leaving to their various hotels wishing the newest couple to be the best of luck
Precious was amongst the very last group of friends to leave, not without hugging her friend and congratulating her for her engagement. Silver on the other hand thanked precious for helping her out in making the birthday ceremony the best for her, it was obvious silver was so exhausted by the way she was talking. Without saying much the two girls hugged themselves briefly before biding themselves a goodnight rest.
By the time precious left silver's room, she was surprised to see Stephen standing at the door, she made to walk pass him when the latter held out his hands and grabbed hers.
"Good evening." He had greeted simply. "Evening." Precious had replied making it as short as possible..
"I wanted to privately talk to you at the party, but you were too occupied to notice me." Stephen had explained still holding precious hands, the warmth from his hands felt very soothing that made it impossible for Precious to pull out her hands.
"Ok...." Precious replied giving no hint to further the conversation.
"Dinner tomorrow, at my place or in a restaurant?" Stephen had asked her with pleading eyes. "None." Precious replied and made to walk out but was stopped by Stephen who pinned her to the wall looking into her eyes directly.
