part seventeen

Precious stay at the office was becoming very difficult, ever since Stephen returned he had stopped noticing her, like he practically talks to all the staff with care and respect except her, he was never pleased with whatever she did even when she tried to things right.
Her jealousy had increased when Stephen started bringing in a particular girl to the office, they were always seen together and most times before they go out the pass through her office path holding hands and laughing. If Stephen was trying to get her jealous….. he had succeeded because Precious was green with jealousy, she couldn’t understand the feeling as it was foreign to her
  She had wanted to apologize to Stephen if she got the chance to, but Stephen never offered her the opportunity, he had been very mean to her ever since he returned and she couldn’t do anything to help the emptiness and loss that she felt inside.
     “Hey is my boyfriend in?” the blonde hair pretty asked while chewing her gums in the most annoying manner
“ you shouldn’t ask me, I’m not the secretary.” Precious replied curtly trying to control her anger
“Oh! How does my baby cope with an untrained bitch like you?” the blonde hair pretty asked, Precious who was trying to get back was stopped by the appearance of Stephen who was holding a couple of files that he intends to drop for Precious to work on.
“Hey babe, when did you come?” Stephen asked while hugging her
“I lost my way to your office and the secretary isn’t on seat and I tried asking her for directions but this staff of yours happens to be rude.” The strange lady complained.
  “just ignore her babe.” Stephen said while planting kisses on her, Precious who couldn’t bear to see the whole play out excused herself from the office trying not to get upset with the whole show of love.
   “He has moved on!” Precious told silver the day she visited
“Like seriously, I thought you were supposed to be happy with the development.” Silver said feigning ignorance
“you don’t get it silver, I love him!” Precious said looking pained
“I’m sorry things turned out this way.” Silver said after a brief pause
“So what are you going to do about this?” silver asked after a brief moment of silence
“I will submit my transfer request on Monday.” Precious said sipping the pins colada.
“I won’t talk you out of it this time, but I want to show you something…… I think it is high time you need to see for yourself.” Silver said suddenly
“And what’s that?” Precious asked curious
“Just follow me!” silver said standing up from the table and dropping the bills with extra tips before dragging Precious who was so reluctant to stand up.
  By the time they left the eatery, silver lead Precious to her apartment that happened to be a new three bedroom duplex
“Nuel got it for you?” Precious asked.
“No, just let’s get in first.” Silver urged and led Precious in.
Precious was speechless as she entered the sitting room, it happened that everyone was present in the sitting room starting from Stephen, Nuel and the rest of the guys she had seen on the first day of the vacation alongside the blonde hair girl who now had her hair dyed pink.
“Silver please what’s going on here?” Precious asked speechless as she couldn’t understand what was about to play out.
“Firstly before I explain, I would want you to forgive me and every other person in this room.” Silver said as the others remained silent.
  “please talk to me silver.” Precious begged trying to understand the whole drama that was about to unfold.
“I brought the idea of the bet, I knew that the both of you needed the little push to be together and I had to discuss with Nuel who planned out everything including the vacation…….. and well Bruno wasn’t supposed to rape you, just a little scaring from his part so that Stephen would be standing on the way when you would run to him terrified and he would act up like the savior, but the dummy spoilt his part by trying to lay with you.” Silver explained to the shock of Precious
  “Wait! you knew about all this and you are just telling me now.” Precious asked shocked.
“My girlfriend meant no harm, she was only trying to put her match making skill into test….  I know we went too far…… but we are all sorry.” Nuel apologized.
  “So what else am I yet to know?”  Precious asked surprised by the whole drama unfolding.
“The fact that I asked my cousin Kira to act up as my girlfriend so I could know your reaction, courtesy to silver who brought about the suggestion.”  Stephen added quietly.
“Hi, Precious…. I’m Kira, I now understand why my cousin is so mad over you. You’re absolutely beautiful.” Kira commended with smiles.
“Thanks Kira.” Precious said with a shy smile, it was obvious Stephen had a very  beautiful cousin
“Will you ever forgive me?” Bruno said with a grin
“Do I have a Choice.” Precious said as she embraced Bruno. It was now making sense to her, the whole game and bet.
   “ I know I hurt you in the process, but I really wanted the best for you.” Silver added looking unhappy
“Common! Silver you are just an amazing person…… how did you pull all this? I will never judge you because I know that you meant no harm….. I love you silver.”  Precious said as she embraced silver, it was a very emotional moment as everyone’s eyes got Misty with unshed tears.
“Am I qualified to get a hug of my own?” Nuel asked with smiles after some minutes.
“Always Nuel.” Precious said drawing Nuel In a bear size hug.
After the whole emotional moment, everyone was silent as Stephen suddenly went on his knees holding a shinning diamond ring
“Precious, I want to make things right this time. Will you do me the honour of becoming the mother to our unborn kids?” Stephen asked as the whole room went still.
Precious couldn’t control the happiness threatening to burst out, all thanks to silver she was finally understanding the true meaning of true love.
  “I should probably help you with the yes.” Bruno asked with a mischievous glint
“I’m sorry for everything Stephen, but yes I will marry you.” Precious said with the excitement threatening to burst out of her chest.
“Did you know what it took me to convince you not to seek for a transfer?” silver asked and they all busted into laughter as everyone started congratulating the newest to be couple in town.
(Nothing is better than a circle that has trust for the other.)
