part nine

“Are you going to hurt me?” precious asked uncomfortably after Stephen had pinned her to the wall for a brief seconds. “Not in my lifetime.” Stephen replied releasing his tight grip on her. “I wanted to know why you so much detest me, have I ever hurt you in anyways?” Stephen asked looking frustrated
“I don’t hate you.” The word came as a whisper
“so why do you choose everyone and not me?” Stephen asked again unconsciously brushing through his hair with his hand
“I didn’t choose anyone. I’m exhausted can you just let go of me!” precious said trying to free herself from his now steel grip.
  “sorry!” Stephen apologized still not letting go of her. “what exactly do you want from me?” Precious asked eyes pinning into his
“Simple, just your attention.” Stephen said with a pained expression, it seemed he was a little tipsy as well.
“Have you been drinking?” Precious asked noticing the faint Stench of alcohol.
“ Not much, I’m fine and I still have control over myself.” Stephen replied still gazing into Precious green eyes.
“Okay, so let go of me then!” precious said pulling herself out of his tight grip.
“Goodnight Stephen” she said finally before heading to her room with the latter staring at her back without saying anything.
  The following day after her encounter with Stephen, precious wanted to talk to him or maybe apologize for her recent behaviors as well but it was so unfortunate that Stephen was no where around, she had stylishly went to the sea in the morning to check if he would be there as it was Stephen’s morning routine but to her surprise he wasn’t anywhere around, not even at his own lodge. She made to pretend she was ok and killed the urge to ask Silver if she had an idea of where Stephen would be.
The day was so boring for Precious after she had returned from the walk, she had to stay indoors knowing fully well that silver will still be asleep from the stress of her engagement party and wouldn’t want to be disturbed. A call on her phone brought her out from her scattered thoughts, looking into her phone she found the caller to be an unknown number with so much reluctance she picked up the call keeping mute for the caller to talk first.
“Hello silver” a male voice floated at the other end of the line, it took precious just few silent seconds to place the owner of the voice
“Oh is this Bruno on the line?” she asked after a brief seconds
“Yeah! I wanted to Know what your schedule for today will be?” Bruno asked over the phone.
“Nothing much.” Precious responded.
“You will be coming for the life show tonight right?” Bruno asked
“sure.” Was Precious short reply. “I was thinking of coming to get you so we could go for the show tonight!” Bruno said after a pause.
“Emm, that wouldn’t be a problem though I was planning on walking down to the hotel hall with silver and Nuel.” Precious supplied
“well that wouldn’t be necessary, we will walk there together ok.” Bruno said and they talked for few more minutes before they finally ended the call.
   Precious was confused with the turn of her emotions, just few minutes ago she was missing Stephen even though they were never on an agreeable term and now her heart was all jumpy and excited after speaking to Bruno.  she wanted to talk to silver about it but she decided it will be after the live show. Who wants to be bored with stories on a Saturday morning.
  She was still debating on what to put on when she heard a soft knock on the door, she had earlier ordered pepperoni and sauce and she stood up thinking it was the room service only to be disappointed to see silver standing outside her door after she had opened the door.
“Good morning girlfriend, aren’t are you happy to see me?” silver asked with tired face, she was still putting on her night gown on her flip-flops.
“I thought it was the room service.” Precious answered and left the door for silver to let herself in. “You have dark circles under your eyes.” Precious observed looking at silver who sat down on the bed very exhausted.
“You can say that again, I look like hell.” Silver responded standing up to check her features in the standing mirror.
“Any plans for today?” Precious asked silver who was still checking herself on the mirror.
“Yeah, I will be going out this morning with Nuel, he wants me getting some clothes for my engagement party. He wasn’t pleased with the gown we got yesterday. we go to the Jacuzzi once we are back from the shopping, then we get ready for the live show.” Silver listed out
“did he tell you the reason why he doesn’t like the dress?” precious asked
“It is simple, he said the gown is too skimpy and of a very low quality.”
“ you know how much Nuel detest skimpy gowns yet you still chose to buy them, seem you have a busy schedule today.” Precious said while answering the room service who had come to deliver her order.
“leave Nuel he is a problem guy. Come let’s go to the beauty salon and get our faces retouched before I go for my shopping.” Silver suggested to Precious who was already seated to eat.
“Let’s eat, aren’t you hungry yet?” precious asked opening her plate of sauce to savour the delicious aroma coming from the little sauce plate.
“I so much detest pepperoni pizza and sauce. I think I will just order for rice and beef.” Silver said making call immediately to the room service to take her order.
The two got dressed immediately after their breakfast and Nuel drove them to the beauty place where precious got her hair fixed and silver had her face made up….. by the time they were done it was some minutes after ten.
     They got to the guest house by eleven thirty and precious went to her room to sleep, Knowing fully well she would be seeing silver later in the evening during the live concert.
  It was late in the evening when silver returned with Nuel, she had made straight to Precious room holding some shopping bags containing items she has gotten for Precious.
A knock on the door was what woke Precious from her six hours sleep, looking at the wall clock she screamed in surprise she didn’t believe She had slept for so long. She opened the door to see silver
“Taram! I’m back.” Silver said with excitement letting herself into Precious room with Precious lazily following her behind
“Welcome back, how was your outing?” Precious asked with a yawn.
“Don’t tell me you have been sleeping since I left here.” Silver said dropping the shopping bags on the King size bed
“It has been boring for me today, so I slept through out loosing track of time in the process.” Precious explained
“You are a case girlie, you mean to tell me that you couldn’t force your lazy ass out of the room today because there was no one to drag you out?” silver asked astonished. “No big deal there, by the way how was your outing?” precious asked looking into the shopping bags Silver had dropped on the bed.
“Fun, it has been the best outing ever. The shopping was great as well.”  Silver said with smiles.
“Are you guys still going for the live show?” precious asked trying a couple of gowns that she had come to love.
“Sure, why not? Aren’t you coming?” Silver asked steering at Precious who was still busy trying her new clothes
“All the clothes are nice. I love them, thanks silver……….. I will be coming but that should be when the life concert starts.” Precious said folding the new clothes back into the shopping bags.
“Ok, see you at the beach then, I and Nuel will be leaving soon” Silver said standing up heading to the door.
“Okay Silver, thanks for today “ Precious said closing the door behind Silver.
