"How Can Words Hurt People?"

"Mia, hurry up and get up." From half an hour ago, I was trying to wake Mia up but, she hasn't woken up yet.

"Five more minutes." Mia covered her face with a blanket.

"You forgot we were on vacation." She opened the blanket and gave me a low cry. "What time is it now?"

"Time for lunch." I answered while sitting next to her.

"Jeez." Mia woke up and ran to the bathroom.

I walked out of the room to the living room, I saw no one. So, I left the house and saw Rio and Diksi were playing football.

They all did not wear tops after swimming earlier. But, they're not what I was looking for. My eyes kept looking until they found who I was looking for.

Alex was sitting on the edge of the sea, spread his legs which were constantly hit by the water. He hold the coconut while occasionally drinking it.

My mind rocked to see his body without cover, I bit my lower lip. I saw his body muscles tense. His skin looked so smooth, made me want to touch it. The tattoo on his arm looked so clear from here.

"Busted!" Mia startled me from behind, "Don't just look at him. Go there."

I was between wanting and not wanting. I haven't dared start a conversation with Alex since last night's incident. I was really embarrassing, so I ran not wanting him to see my flushed face.

"I'm gonna prepare the food." I said heading to the kitchen.

Mia followed me, "Food is already provided, Laura." She grinned, "So, you don't have to bother with cooking. All you need is to meet your prince before a blonde women kidnaps him."

"We're the only ones renting this place, there's no other visitors." I answered challenging her to reply again.

"Oh yeah? You don't know the maids here are beautiful and sexy." Mia said, she didn't want to lose.

"You're the one should be afraid of your husband being kidnapped, Mia! He might like another woman and leave you." I said that even I knew that Diksi wasn't that type of man.

Mia's face looked sad when she heard what I said. I knew what she means was good, but I accidentally said that.

Damn mouth!

"I'm sorry, Mia. I didn't mean to say it."

"I know." She said then turned her body to leave me.

"Mia, wait." Shit.

"Just don't Laura. I need my time. Alone." She emphasized the word 'Alone'

She went outside, whispered something to her husband. I saw both of them walked away.

"Shit shit shit." I blamed myself for it.

Rio went inside, "What's wrong with Mia? She looked like she almost wanted to cry."

I frustrated how to explain it. "I said something I shouldn't have to say." I sat on the sofa, holding my head. Rio nodded, "No wonder Mia looks sad, angry, and also disappointed."

"Geez, it's because of me." I bit my nail.

"Believe me, she will forgive you. She just need time. Everything's gonna be okay." Rio said, "I'm gonna take shower. I'll come back later."
