Chapter 45

The next morning the girls woke up feeling the effects of the night before. They tripped over the guys as they each made their way to the bathrooms utterly sick. While the women were in the restrooms heaving and then cleaning themselves up the guys cleaned up the rooms a bit and ordered room service for breakfast. Dan called the other two rooms so they could all have breakfast together in the girl's suite. As each one finished in the bathroom, they made their way into the living room/ dining area of the suite. By the time Elizabeth and Jenny, who were the last two to get ready, were done everyone was waiting for breakfast. Just as Elizabeth threw herself down onto the couch curling up in a miserable ball, room service showed up. Dan looked everything over before tipping the employee closing the door behind him. Bringing the cart over he began setting up a wonderful spread of fresh fruits, eggs, toast, and bacon. Elizabeth and Jenny groaned as the smell of the food turned their already touchy stomachs. Jan was in a bit better shape then the other two having taken some medicine right after she had gotten up. Lauren was piling her plate with food suffering no ill effects from the night before. Courtney was curled up in a chair barely moving as she hid under the hood of an oversized hoodie. Addison and Nell ate their breakfast merrily as they snickered at the other's misery. Lauren looked around at the other four curiously before going back to enjoying her food.

The relatively quiet breakfast was interrupted by the tv as it came on replaying a video of last night in the elevator. All the woman that had been intoxicated the previous night turned their heads in the direction of the video playing. Eyes widened in horror as they watched themselves as well as the others throw drunken tantrum after tantrum. Courtney let out a slew of curse words as she hid deeper inside her hoodie until no part of her remained visible. Jan choked on her water she had been sipping her eyes darting in Clayton's direction before looking away. Jenny groaned holding a pillow over her head wishing she was anywhere other than in that room. Lauren raised an eyebrow but continued eating unrepentant for what she had said. Elizabeth hid her face in her hands wishing the ground would open up and swallow her whole. The whole thing was made more embarrassing as their witnesses began laughing echoing the hysterics in the background of the video.

"You might want to turn it off now before Courtney breaks the tv to shut it down." Lauren calmly pointed out making Dan fumble to disconnect his phone. He glanced over at the woman in question seeing beady dark eyes glaring at him from the depths of her hood. A shiver shook him as he finally got it shut down and raised his hands in surrender.

"Was there anything planned for this morning before we head back today?" Lauren inquired making Elizabeth, Jenny, and Courtney groan in misery with the thought of having to move.

"There hadn't been but in light of last night I think there needs to be some conversations." Nell pointed out while Addison smiled in glee.

"Can we do that later? Like when Armageddon isn't happening inside my body." Jenny complained as Elizabeth's, Courtney's, and Jan's painfilled voices agreed in unison.

"I said everything I wanted to last night." Lauren stated refusing to budge on the matter no matter how much Mikey prodded. Elizabeth watched from across the room concentrating on his face and eyes for his genuine reaction. His facial features were set in determination as his eyes held a hint of pain before he masked it. Every way he tried to coax or persuade her, Lauren was just flat out ignoring him. Refusing to even look him in the eye. It was clear that she meant business and if Elizabeth had thought he was just fooling around with her friend she would have been the first to jump in and back her up. After all she had heard firsthand from those who had grown up with him how chasing women was no more then a game to him. Watching him now however had Elizabeth second guessing whether or not he may have legitimate feelings for Lauren. She knew for a fact that the night the group had strolled along the beach that Lauren and Mikey had shared a quickie behind the rocky alcove down from where the others had been walking. Which begged the question, 'if he had already got what he had been after why is he still so persistent'? Before she could bring that up though he stormed from the room in anger. Elizabeth looked to both Courtney and Nell who were sharing inquisitive glances amongst each other.
