Chapter 44
The girls were all stretched out on message tables currently getting pampered. Giggles bounced off the walls whenever one of them would groan in delight. Elizabeth had never had a massage before being too shy in the past to try it. She had to admit though it was a pretty nice luxury to indulge in every now and again. They weren't sure what happened to Dan, Ryan, Clayton, and Greg. Probably wandered off to a bar or some place manly while the girls relaxed for the afternoon. The only ones not having a blast at the moment were Roy, Elliot, and Mikey. Since they lost the race, they had to go to the spa too. Not for pampering but for manscaping. Every now and again you could hear one of them yelling out in pain making the girls cringe but chuckle too. On their way over to the spa in the pimp bus Elizabeth had asked Ryan why he had chosen the girls. He had sent her a sly smile and told her he owed Courtney for sending him one of his favorite pictures ever. Elizabeth had blushed like crazy but laughed at his reasoning. Courtney had overheard them talking and patted him on the shoulder while saying 'wise man, wise man'. Elizabeth was seeing a few more candid pictures coming his way in the future if he kept this up. It was a logic she didn't think the losers could dispute even after an afternoon of torture. She was sure once he talked to them, all would be forgiven.
After the messages they got scrubs and wraps and all kinds of things Elizabeth had never even heard of before. They all got primped, pampered, and buffed within an inch of there lives. Once the afternoon was over each of them looked relaxed and years younger. They were all detoxed and glowing with vibrance. It was like nothing Elizabeth had ever experienced before. She felt completely refreshed and was so tranquil she could be a walking puddle. They had to wait in the lobby for about twenty more minutes while the boys finished up. When the three of them walked out they were beet red everywhere skin showed and walking like their entire bodies were covered in a sunburn. Jan held the door for them as the three of them gingerly waddled their way out of the spa. As each one of them passed Lauren and Courtney in the parking lot they each agreed they wanted a rematch. The statements only lit Courtney's competitive side as she told them they were on. Lauren was a little more gun shy to accept the challenge seeing the determination each of them had. That and the looks they sent the two women's way said they had spent their day at the spa plotting their revenge. Any sane person would have hesitated in the face of their aggression too. Elizabeth was just glad that for once she wasn't a part of Courtney's scheme. That just went to show that no matter how upset you were at the other person never, ever, team up with Courtney.
The girls took pity on the three of them and allowed them to sprawl as comfortably as they possibly could while the girls camped out on the floor. Courtney ended up driving the bus back and Addison sat in the passenger seat not being able to join the rest of them. She had protested slightly wanting to be a part of the floor party but even Elliot told her it would be easier for her if she sat in a proper seat. By the time they made it back to the resort the other men in their group were milling around out-front waiting for them. The girls thought at first that they were impatient to see them again but by the resounding back pats each of the tender skinned guys got, it was clear to the girls then they were only waiting to torture the other three. As the men continued to tease one another the women walked past them being completely ignored as they went by. Once up in the girl's suite, which Addison and Nell joined them in, they talked over what to do for dinner. After looking at all the options it was decided that they would go take in dinner and a show. Most of them had never been to a dinner theater before and were kind of excited to check one out. Halfway through getting ready phones started going off with texts and unanswered calls from the guys. Apparently, they had remembered they had girlfriends and/or wives they had forgotten about. Each of them silenced the ringers on their devices so when the guys came to check on the rooms it would appear that they had left. That was exactly what those that received texts told them as well.
