Chapter 41

By the first stop on the pimp bus tour ride the girls had lessened the interrogation. Elizabeth had been biting her nail through the whole thing dreading what the next question would be. Ryan was a good sport about it though and answered each inquiry thrown his way without hesitation. She was sure there were somethings that they hadn't asked, though admittingly not much, so there were still some surprises left for her to discover. Elizabeth hoped so anyway. Who knows, by the end of the weekend none of them will be left with any secrets anymore.

Elizabeth had opted to stay on the bus while the others got out to stretch their legs. Customers at the other gas pumps were looking at their party of friends exiting the bus and well the bus in general. After the fifth person came up to look around while Elliot and Mikey let them peek inside that she decided the bathroom sounded like a good idea. Once done she grabbed some munchies and a soda. Joining Addison at the register she placed her stuff on the counter as she watched Addison staring out the big front windows snacking on her already purchased bag of popcorn. As the cashier rang her up Elizabeth looked at the windows and nearly cringed at the crowd that had gathered around the bus. Roy and Courtney had joined the other two in talking to them pointing things out. Once she was checked out Elizabeth walked over opening up her bag of chips and settling in next to Addison. Together they munched and watched the three-ring circus going on outside neither in a hurry to join in.

"Sorry if we kind of horned in on your girls get away." Elizabeth looked at Addison and shook her head while waving the words away.

"Believe me you guys didn't disturb us in any way. If anything, I'm glad you're here." Addison stopped eating and looked at Elizabeth with a raised eyebrow.

"Your pregnancy will hopefully keep Courtney on a bit of a leash as to what she has planned. She's a big one for everybody joining in no matter what. There is a limit of things you can do and that hopefully means she'll be tame in comparison to the past." Addison chuckled but resumed snacking away as they watched the show unfold outside. Addison pointed a piece of popcorn in the direction of the bus before eating it.

"That's what you call tame?" Elizabeth snorted but before she could open her mouth to respond Lauren beat her to it.

"That monstrosity is a walk in the park for us." Elizabeth and Addison glanced behind them noticing the rest of their group had either joined them at the window or were currently buying their own snacks as well. Nell strolled up cracking open a sparkling water eyes glued to the scene outside as she added to the conversation.

"Remember the year she some how got us all to go zip lining in our underwear?" Elizabeth and Lauren cringed at the memory of that night. Beside them Ryan choked on his drink looking at the three of them with large eyes.

"What place would allow you to go zip lining half dressed?" Jan asked in disbelief, it was Greg that answered her as he came up to snitch a chip from his wife's bag.

"It was at Uni, no one is sure who set it up though. There was a line from on top of one of the frat houses that went down the entire block of Greek row. A lot of people speculated but no one ever fessed up. My money's still on Courtney though."

"I don't care who set it up, the rope burns we got that night were killer." Elizabeth pointed out making Lauren and Nell nod in agreement.

"Well they say you do crazy things while in college." Jan's statement had the girls laughing. Lauren was the first to regain her composure.
