Valentine's POV
Swinging my feet back and forth over the railings of the Astronomy tower was strangely calming. The sky looked so peaceful with all the twinkling stars. Sighing I placed my head on my arm, these past few months have been weird. With the looks I now constantly get from all of the Gryffindors, Harry even stopped with all the greetings I mean we weren't exactly friends but that was still shocking to me. Not to mention the potion seems to be doing no good now, the dosages keep increasing every month and although they think I don't notice, I've been aware.
I've learned to control my temper somewhat, Theo have been teaching me.
Theodore Nott. The connection we instantly had was astronomical, but I just didn't seem to be more romantically into him as he would expect. We're still very much good friends though, actually him, Draco, Pansy and I have been super close ever since he started to hang around us.
Closing my eyes from the oncoming pounding headache, my mind went back to today. Headmaster Dumbledore announced the tournament. It sounded very dangerous to me, Theo wanted to participate but thankfully me and Pansy convinced him otherwise.
"The Durmstrang students seem nice- do you know I would've been one of them had it not been located so far?" Draco said beside me.
I nodded. "Yep you would've looked so adorable in the uniform" I grinned.
He huffed and looked away."It's so peaceful out here" I commented.
"Yea it is" Draco murmured back."You know what would've been fun? If we were actually allowed to participate in thjs stupid tournament"
My eyes widen, instinctively reaching out to lightly hit him.
"Absolutely not, it's totally barbaric. Fighting for your life? For what? A stupid cup. It doesn't make any sense"
I argued.
"Hey hey I was just kidding" Draco grinned. Rolling my eyes, I scooted close to him, letting my head fall to his shoulder. I was tired.Completely out of nowhere, a certain someone popped into my head.
George Weasley. I haven't seen him in ages unil tonight when the announcement was made.
And even when I did see him, he'd always walk the other way with clenched fists. I don't get it, I loved him.
Finally admitting it to myself felt relieving. I did love him once upon a time, but he broke me and took my heart with him."We should head to bed" Draco said.
I nodded and waited for him to get up. Stretching my arms out he pulled me to my feet.Walking back to the dorms, he joked about the old hag Dumbledore, how he, himself, should participate in the tournament.
Laughing with him, I didn't realize I bumped right into someone till I was on the floor.
"Ow watch where you're going" I angrily said although it was partially my fault."Sorry" I didn't look up but I knew that voice. I didn't want to look at him. It would just hurt me more.
Pulling myself up, I grabbed Draco's hand. "Come on let's go"
But Draco being Draco had to have said something.
"Watch your back Weasley"I huffed and continued walking with my heart heavy as a rock.
Come on now it's been months, I shouldn't still feel this way. I can't feel this way.
"Good night" I nodded to Draco and went to my room that I shared with Pansy. And yes she started sleeping back in, which was really nice because I was starting to get lonely.
Silently walking in, I eased my way into the room and crept under the covers trying not to wake her. Which. I thankfully didn't.
