As the remaining hours passed, the team had find out that there were other teams beside them, while all the genin that managed to get to the tower with both scroll, before the time ran out, they were sent to each different rooms, so that they could recover and any contact with other teams were forbidden, until there were only final hours left.

Naruto and his team arrived in some sort of huge arena. The room consisted of grey tiles, balconies on each end of the room, two small screens of the wall and one big screen and there were two massive statue hands forming a ram seal; the hands are joined together where the right hand thumb is on top of left hand, and the forefinger and middle fingers are facing vertically.

"It's been two days already... will the third part of the exam will start already?" Sakura mumbled.

Naruto walked around the arena, looking at all the details of the big room and tried to figure out what the third exam might be about.

"Naruto Uzumaki..." A voice spoke with a cold tone.

Naruto turned around and saw Gaara with his stoic expression.

"Sabaku no Gaara..." Naruto spoke.

"I am glad to see you passed the second phase of the exam... I would've been very disappointed if you haven't." Gaara spoke with his piercing gaze.

Naruto stared at the red head with a calculating gaze, examining him from head to toe. 'Hm... he doesn't seem to have a single scratch on him... either he got lucky and bumped into some weaklings, or he's stronger than he looks...'

"What is it that you want?..." Naruto asked.

Gaara stood silent for a moment. To fight you... I'll make my existence know to the world by using you, you interest me, Uzumaki..."

Naruto furrowed his eyebrows. 'Make his existence known? What is he talking about?' "Really? And what is it that interest you so much?"

"You and I... we posses similar eyes... the eyes with desire to crush anyone who stands in our way... to kill." Gaara spoke.

Meanwhile, Temari was watching the two talk from a distance, she really didn't like seeing Gaara talk to Naruto, but she was to afraid to do anything, she feared she might make things worse.

"You're like me... you're strong because you fight for your existence and that's why I know by just looking at you... that none of these fools are equal to you, or me..." Gaara continued.

"You are wrong." Naruto stated. "I'm strong is because I have friends who helped me and I fight to protect the people I care about, not to protect my existence."

"Pathetic... you haven't learned a thing from what happened all these years ago..."

Naruto tried to remain calm and ignored the voice in his head. Gaara noticed that the boy was in some sort of discomfort, but paid no mind to it.

"Friends?... you risk your life for your friends?" Gaara questioned as if he never heard that word before.

"Yes, they're the ones I love and they fill my heart." Naruto spoke.

"...Love?..." Gaara growled the word quietly. "It appears I made a mistake... you're no different from these meat bags, you are weak and you are a fool.. you're nothing like me at all..." Gaara closed his eyes as if he was disappointed. "You should be happy, Uzumaki... I've lost my interest in you..."

As soon as Gaara walked away Naruto felt pain in his left side of the head and he covered his left eye.

"Damn this pain.." He growled quietly.
