CHINNIN EXAMS: PREPARATION FOR FINALS 3

The end of the month was coming to an end, there's only a week left till the third and final stage of the chunin exam to begin.

Karah was still outside the village, being trained by Jiraiya. She was still trying to summon a toad with no luck whatsoever.

Naruto's training was over, he already mastered the jutsu that would help to defeat gaara. Right now he's just doing his standard training, preparing his body for the upcoming fight.

Konohamaru was also doing pretty good. He shows proficiency on the Taijutsu style Naruto teached her, but she's still far from battle ready. He has a long way to go, he can only do the Kawarimi, Bunshin and the Henge jutsu that the academy taught him just recently.

(Hokage tower)

The blonde man Hokage just finished his paper work for today. He took a deep breath and let it out as he leaned back on his chair.

I forgot how troublesome the chunin exams could be... that dam paper work is going to be the death of me...' minato glanced at the calendar that was hanging on his office wall. "The final rounds are just around the corner..." His eyes traced down and noticed which month is after the coming one. "October... the month where karah-chan's birthday is."

It is a both a joyful event, but also saddening. The day when the village's hero's was born and became living containers for the kyubi's power. But the village only sees one of them as a hero.

Naruto had never truly enjoyed his birthdays.

October 10th is not only the day when the two twins were born, but also the day when the whole village celebrates the defeat of the kyubi and remember their lost loved ones. Most villagers become very violent and dangerous, once they become intoxicated by liquor and grief and that's when it is utmost unsafe for Naruto.

(Training ground)

Karah's training didn't go very well. She felt pretty desperate to summon a toad, especially when there's only a few days left till the tournament and Jiraiya did all he can do to help and by "help" he just peeps from the bushes and watches a group of unsuspecting women swimming in the near by pond, having fun.

The girl bit her thumb and placed it on the ground. "Kuchiyose no Jutsu (Summoning Jutsu)!" And suddenly, smoke appeared, covering the entire area. "This time it has to be a toad!" The girl exclaims in anticipation.

The Namikaze's summon appeared from the smoke cloud. It was green and was covered with red tomoes, it also had two arms and two legs, once Karah saw the amphibian she was about to jump out of joy, but didn't once she saw that the amphibian had something else... a wiggly tail.

The girl stared at it for a few seconds. "AAAAAAA! WHAT THE HECK IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN A TADPOLE AND A DAMN FROG!?" She exploded with frustration.

"Huhuhu... hehehe... hahaha..." Jiraiya's perverted giggles interrupted the girl's angry rant, so she turned her attention to him.

"Oi! Ero-sennin! At least act like you believe in me! I mean-- Ugh~~" The girl fell down and fainted without even finishing her sentence.

The old sannin turns his attention at the girl and sighs. 'She collapses, yet again... but I suppose it's no surprise, for almost a month she has been training trough guts and determination alone... but it's not good enough...'

(Meanwhile, in Konohagakure)

Temari was in her hotel room all sulky and depressed. Kankuro was keeping company to her, he was sitting on the open window, gazing upon the village.

"Man... Konoha is so different from Suna, it's like trying to compare day and night." Kankuro.

"What are you doing here?.. You're supposed to watch Gaara..." Temari spoke in a broody manner.
