"We'll get into UA and be heroes!" A four year old girl smiled at her best friend. Her chubby cheeks were pulled back into a bright smile.
"Together?" A boy with black hair stared at his best friend who always stayed by his side.
Her blue eyes sparkled. "Together."
A hesitant smile appeared on the boy's face. "Pinky promise?"
The girl giggled before hooking her pinkie with his. "Pinky promise, Tenko."

"Save me, Eiko," a voice groaned my name in agony.
The girl of six stood before the grown man who was on his knees before her. She tilted her head. "Save you? Why?"
"I'm your father."
She smiled. Her face aching with the movement. It had been so long since she smiled that she almost forgot how to. "My father died the day he became greedy. I hope you burn in hell."

"You're technically dead," the girl deadpanned at the form of purple and black mist. Yellow eyes pleaded with her for help.
"I know, Eiko, but I'm regaining my memories. I don't want to be like this anymore." He whispered. "I remember them."
She sighed, closing her eyes. "I can try something, but you know that we'll have to run."
"I know."
"Let's start, Kurogiri. Or should I say Oboro."

"You're hurt. Let me help you."
A boy covered in burns shuffled away from her in panic. "No! Don't touch me. I'll hurt you."
A small smirk appeared on her face. "You won't. I'm Eiko. What's your name?"
He studied me from behind his white hair before hesitatingly saying his name. "Touya."

"This is disgusting." A boy in a black mask stared in disgust at his new surroundings. The room was small and had the minimal objects.
The girl deadpanned. "It's better than the streets, Kai."
Gold eyes stared at the girl who leaned against the doorframe. "That's debatable."

"Here you go," a black haired girl knelt, handing an emerald haired boy a notebook.
Watery emerald eyes sparkled in thankfulness as he sniffled. "Thank you."
"No problem," her lips wavered slightly before falling into a straight line. "I'm Eiko. My family and I moved here recently."
"Oh!" Her new friend smiled. "I'm Izuku. Izuku Midoriya."

"You shot me? Do it again!"
The girl stared emotionless at the man with a scar down the middle of his head. "Do you feel it?"
"The pain? Yes! No, I don't!"
A small smile spread on her face. "Yes, the pain. The pain that says that you're real and alive."
"I'm real?"

"You're so pretty! Do you want some blood?" A girl with bright yellow eyes smiled at the black haired girl.
"No, thanks, Toga. Why do you drink blood?"
A sad expression appeared on the ash blonde girl. "My parents hate me. They starve me and hurt me. I'm so hungry."
"Would you like to come with me? We have food and we'll never hurt you."
Her expression turned bright. "Really? Yes! We'll be best friends."

"You don't need friends like that," she said softly to her companion.
"But I'd be alone then," her companion said with a sad and lonely tone.
"Well then, I guess it's time for you to meet some new people. I'm up for a cup of coffee." Eiko said as she and her companion walked in the mist. Her purple and gold eyes looked at him. "What about you?"
Purple hair that seemed to defy gravity and purple eyes seemed to glow in the night. His lips formed into a small smirk. "That sounds perfect."

"Who are you?" A man with yellow goggles around his neck asked me. Messy black hair hung in his face, almost obscuring his black eyes.
I studied him as he studied me and my companions. "I'm Eiko Yoshimoto. Who are you?"
"I'm Shota Aizawa."
I nodded. "I believe we'll be seeing you around."
His red eyes stared at me with a deadness and tiredness that I felt. "Why do you say that?"
A smirk appeared on my face. "You seem like you're about to keel over, and well, this is a café. Now want a cup of coffee? You look like you're about to drop."
⁻ᵀⁱᵐᵉ ˢᵏⁱᵖ⁻
"No! Why me? Why not just Kai and Toga?"
"Because the more people inside, the more we can protect them." Turquoise eyes looked at me. "It's not like Crusty or I can easily go in since we are technically 'dead'."
"It's just some robots," gold eyes drawled as he rearranged his black mask. "Plus you have me and Toga."
"Yes, but what if I don't get in. Then it's a moot point." I frowned at them.
Gray blue eyes gazed at me. "You'll be fine. You'll get in! You won't!"
"We're doing this to protect them, Eiko." yellow eyes stared at me in confidence. She smiled. "Let's protect them together."
"You got this," dark gold eyes surrounded by purple mist encouraged me.
I met red eyes, and he smiled sadly. "Do it, Eiko. Do you remember our promise? Become a hero. "
