"You don't know, oh-oh, You don't know you're beautiful, oh-oh, That's what makes you beautiful!!!!!" Nina sang on the top of her lungs, twirling around once she finished applying her eyeliner.
"Sweetie breakfast is ready!!!" she heard her mom call from downstairs.
"Yes, and kindly please stop singing, you sound like a walrus.", she heard her father grumble. "I'm so embarrassed the neighbors have to hear you."
Nina rolled her eyes. Someone was in a bad mood. "Coming mom!!" she answered.
What shoes to wear? Nina decided on wearing her brown boots with her tallest heels. She liked the idea of being eye level with Matthias. Nina then grabbed her backpack and dashed downstairs. Her father sat at the table, nose in the paper as always while her mother brewed some coffee.
"Waffles!!!" Nina squealed giving her mom a kiss on the cheek. "You know just how to make a girl's day brighter."
Nina's mother smiled. "Of course dear. Now go on, you don't want them to get cold"
Nina sat down at the table across from her father, eagerly digging into her stack of waffles. Her father finally bothered to look up from his apparently incredibly interesting paper. "Isn't that a bit scandalous for school?" he asked, eyeing her kefta.
"What no!! Mom picked it out for me!!!"
He looked up at his wife his gaze disapproving, but he said nothing. Instead, his gaze dropped to her feet. "Don't you think the heels are a bit overdoing it?"
"She's a big girl now. She can wear what she wants, and I think our daughter looks glamorous today." her mother poured her father some more coffee.
Nina glance at her watch. "Oh, I got to go!!!"
"Isn't it a bit early?" her mother asked.
"Uh- I have an extra credit thingie I have to do!!" Nina mumbled, her mouth full. She grabbed another waffle, before throwing her backpack on. "Love you guys!!!!"
"Helvar." she grinned when she made it to his house. She was lucky that his bedroom was on the bottom floor. The window was already open and she pushed herself inside easily. Matthias sat on his bed, a book in his lap, and his shoulder-length blond hair glowing in the morning light.
" Morning Ferdjan," she said her legs swinging below her as she sat on the window cill.
Matthias flinched, his ridiculously large hands slamming the book shut. "Nina!!" he stared at her, his icy blue eyes looking around with worry. "You shouldn't be here." he hissed. "What if one of my parents come?"
Nina just blew him a kiss, "Aww don't be so uptight." she jumped down so she landed right on the soft blue carpet of his bedroom.
"You texted me last night that I would pick you up at the park." she noticed that he was staring at her eyes wide in awe.
"Change in plans." she walked over to him, and even with her heels on she had to stand on her tiptoes to kiss him. For a moment Matthias froze like he always did, before he kissed her back, hands around her waist. Nina wished they could be like this forever. Forget about everyone else and their worries. Nina ran her hand through Matthais's hair, and Matthais gripped her harder deepening the kiss. Suddenly Matthais pushed Nina to the ground.
"Get under the bed!!!" he hissed.
Nina did, confused for a second until she heard footsteps approaching. She wrinkled her nose in disgust. Matthias had a dirt sock under his bed. She would have to remind him to clean his room.
