Sakiya woke up with a smile on her face. She knew that today was the day she was going to become a ninja. She wanted to become a strong ninja to prove to her sister that she could survive the shinobi world and that she could keep up with her.

She got dressed in her maroon top with the Haruno clan symbol on the back, a black undershirt, black shorts, knee-high leggings, and her black ninja sandals. As she was getting ready her mom yelled up to her and her sister.

"Sakiya! Sakura! You're going to be late if you don't leave now!" She yelled up. Sakiya looked at her clock.

"Crap it's almost eight!" She thought to herself and grabbed her kunai pouch and ran out the door yelling a quick goodbye to her mom and dad. She ran all the way to the academy without stopping. By the time she got there, she was slightly out of breath. When she went to put her kunai pouch on her thigh, her hair fell down and into her face.

"Dang it, I forgot to tie my hair back." She thought. She tried looking in her other pouches to see if she maybe had an extra hair tie, but she didn't. She sighed and walked into the classroom. When she walked in, everyone stared at her.

"Do I have something on my face?" She asked. Instead of answering, the room broke out into a chorus of how pretty she looked. Sakiya felt a small blush creep onto her face. She didn't think anyone thought she was pretty. They always talked about her sister. When she scanned the room to see where she could sit, she saw Sasuke sitting alone. She walked up to him and slid in next to him not saying anything.

As she sat there at the desk waiting for the exam to start, she felt eyes on her. When she turned, she saw her twin glaring daggers at her. She quickly faced forward, trying to see if her sister would stop but that was not the case. Instead of leaving her alone, Sakura walked up to her and told her to move.

"Listen Sakiya, I know you think you are special because everyone is talking about you, but that doesn't give you a reason to sit next to my Sasuke." She said, glaring at Sakiya. She didn't feel like arguing so she decided to get up. As she got up she felt a hand on her wrist pulling her down. She looked down to see that Sasuke had made her sit back down.

"She got here first. Quit being rude to her and sit somewhere else." Sasuke said without looking at her. Sakiya almost fainted from hearing those words come from Sasuke. She thought maybe she had a chance with him. Sakura huffed and walked away from the two. Sakiya turned to Sasuke.

"T-thank you Sasuke. For sticking up for me." She said shyly. Sasuke looked at her from the corner of his eye.

"Don't thank me. Although, you should be able to stand up to your own sister. If you can't do that, how will you ever become a ninja." He said in a cold tone. Sakiya felt his words hit her in her heart. She knew he wasn't trying to be mean, but it certainly did hurt to hear it like that.

Iruka- sensei walked in and explained what the graduation exam would be over and how to pass it. The exam was over the clone jutsu. One of her least favorites. Not because she couldn't do it, but because she couldn't make a lot of clones. After he explained the exam, he called the first name.

"Sakiya Haruno, please proceed to the exam room." He said. Sakiya gulped. She was nervous that she wouldn't be able to make a good clone. As she walked into the room, she took four deep breaths to calm herself. After getting calm, she made the hand signs for the jutsu. There was a poof of smoke and when she looked around, she saw she had made two solid clones. She smiled.

"Good job Sakiya. Please come up and choose a headband." Iruka said to her. She walked up and saw a white headband. She picked it up and placed it on her neck.

She walked out of the room and out the front of the building. She was excited. She was finally a full-fledged ninja. She knew that this was the first step in becoming a strong shinobi. To celebrate, in her own way of celebrating, she went to the library. She went there all the time. This time, instead of reading books that had to do with history, she picked out books on jutsu. She wanted to see if she had any chakra natures. As she walked home with a book in her hand, she saw Ino walking her way.

"Oh, hey Sakiya. What are you up to?" She asked.

"Not much, I just decided to go and rent a book from the library on different kinds of jutsu and chakra natures." She said. Ino laughed at her. She knew that Sakiya and Sakura were both book smart. Sakiya just didn't like to put herself into the spotlight of everyone and show off.

"Do you think you may be able to learn any jutsu?" Ino asked. Sakiya shrugged her shoulders. She didn't even know if she had any. The two said goodbye and went their separate ways. Maybe if she asked her parents, she would find out.

As she walked in through the door, she saw that Sakura was in the living room with their parents celebrating.

"I made four solid clones mom! It was amazing. It was so easy also. I totally wasn't nervous." Sakiya heard her from the door.

"Well, what about Sakiya? Did your sister pass?" She heard her mom ask. Sakiya wanted to see what Sakura said.

"I don't know if she passed or not. From what I could see when she walked in, she was totally nervous. She doesn't do well under pressure, so she probably didn't pass." She said in a matter-of-fact tone. Sakiya took this opportunity to walk into the living room.

"Actually Sakura, I did pass." She said and held her headband in her hand. Sakura's face flushed red in embarrassment. Their parents started cheering.

"Ah, my baby girls. All grown up and full-fledged ninja's now!" Her dad yelled with tears in his eyes. Sakura rolled her eyes and went upstairs. Sakiya waited until she knew Sakura was in her room to ask her questions.

"Hey mom, dad?" She started.

"Do I have any chakra natures?" She asked. Her parents looked at each other and then back to Sakiya.

"Well, sweetheart. We don't know. You should have Water and Earth Chakra natures." Her mom told her. She nodded, said thank you, and went to her room to read the book she got. She wanted to prove Sakura wrong. She wanted to show her that she was strong and that she could keep up with her. She didn't want to sit on the sidelines when she got her team. She wanted to be the person who helped and helped her teammates defeat other ninjas.

She went to sleep with the question of who was going to be on her team, and if they were going to help her get stronger.
