Sakiya walked with Tazuna and Sakura to the bridge. The twins didn't have to do training today because they have good chakra control. Granted, Sakiya wanted to go and train but Kakashi said that she should take a break. Sakura was happy that she didn't have to train.
Sakiya sat on the railing of the bridge and Sakura sat below her on a chair. Sakura yawned and Tazuna saw.
"So, training is hard for you two?" He said. Sakiya scoffed and looked away. Sakura crossed her arms.
"No, we actually have better chakra control than the guys. So, Kakashi-sensei sent us here with you." She said in a snobbish way. Tazuna scoffed.
"I don't know. I think I'd trust the younger sister than you to protect us." He retorted. Sakura got upset at this and Sakiya giggled. Tazuna walked away satisfied that he got to the older twins' head. Sakiya stared out into the ocean. She thought it was so peaceful here. Suddenly she heard yelling. She turned to see that Tazuna and another worker were yelling at each other. Sakiya jumped down next to Sakura.
"All of the workers are scared that Gato and Zabuza are going to come. None of them want to be a part of the bridge because they are afraid they will get killed." Sakura said solemnly. Sakiya felt bad for Tazuna. This was something he felt he had to do for the sake of his village. Tazuna started walking towards the girls.
"Let's go get some lunch." He growled out. The twins looked at each other and followed him. As they walked through the small village they noticed that the open shops didn't really have anything to sell. Sakiya and Sakura looked at each other with sad eyes.
"This village is poor. We don't have enough money to survive. That's why this bridge is so important. It will open us up to the mainland and we will be able to start prospering again. Although, with this whole Gato and Zabuza thing. It is driving people away from even wanting to work on the bridge. That's why we need you, ninja. To help us prosper again." Tazuna explained to the girls. Finally, they understood why it was so important to them. It was one thing being told about the situation in the Land of Waves, but to actually see it was eye-opening.
"Trust me when I say that we will help you no matter what Tazuna," Sakiya said with a smile on her face. Right now she was focused on her mission. She wanted to help these people survive and she was going to make it happen.
At the end of the day, the three went back to the house. Even though the girls didn't really do anything, Sakiya was tired from not doing anything but watching the guys work. Boredom was tiring. When the house came into view, Sakiya felt herself sigh in relief.
"You shouldn't be tired, brat," Tazuna said.
"Hey! If I could've done something today maybe I would have something to actually be tired about but no, I had to sit and watch you work all day!" She defended herself. Sakura giggled and Tazuna just huffed out a sigh.
They walked up the stairs to the house, but Sakiya didn't want to go inside just yet. She walked around the porch area to where she was looking out over the ocean. She took her shoes off and put her feet into the water. The water was cool. It wasn't too cold, but it wasn't warm either. It flowed up and down, surrounding her ankles and slowly going down around her feet.
"What are you doing out here?" Sakiya turned around to see Inari.
"I'm just relaxing. Why? What are you doing out here?" She asked.
"I come out here to think." He said. Sakiya motioned for him to sit down next to her. Inari reluctantly came and sat down.
"What do you normally think about when you're out here?" She asked, trying to make conversation with him.
"It's none of your business." He said. Sakiya nodded.
"You don't have to talk about anything with me, but I would like you to listen." She said.
"I know that you have had it rough. I know about what happened to your father and that is tragic. You can't let what happened to you though, dictate your life. You need to grow from it and take what he taught you. I know that it is easier said than done, but you have to try. This anger that you hold towards Gato and the rest of us, isn't healthy. All it will do is put you down a path of revenge." She said calmly to him. Inari looked at her.
"Why are you telling me this?" He asked.
"Because you are still young. I mean, I'm young also but you have dealt with more than I have and I don't want to see you ruin your life over what happened." She said and looked at him. Inari's eyebrows furrowed.
"I have a question then." He said. Sakiya nodded for him to continue.
"Can you do ninjutsu? I've seen Naruto do it and Sasuke use it, but I haven't seen you or Sakura use any." He said. Sakiya giggled.
"Yes, I can." She said and looked out.
"What jutsu can you use?" Inari asked.
"I can use Water style, Earth Style, and Genjutsu." Sakiya said
"Can you show me a Water style Jutsu?" Inari was curious. He never really saw anyone use ninjutsu before.
"Um, I can try." Sakiya was nervous. She didn't know any water-style jutsu yet, so she decided on Earth style. She made the hand signs she made back in the fight with Zabuza. Earth shot out of the ground and shut on itself making a rock prism. Inari was surprised.
"Woah!" He yelled. Sakiya released the jutsu and the rock crumbled away.
"Can you do another jutsu? Maybe something with the water?" He asked.
"I don't think she should do that out in the open." Sakiya and Inari turned around to see Kakashi standing in the doorway.
"Awe, how come?" He asked. Sakiya knew why.
"Because she isn't in the safety of our village to be practicing and showing off all her jutsu. Zabuza is still out there and if he knows what she is capable of, he will be able to counteract it." He explained. Inari looked down. Sakiya knew that this was a cool experience for him, but Kakashi was right. Zabuza may be out there right now watching them and they couldn't slip up now.
Inari went back inside and left Sakiya and Kakashi outside.
"Are you going to come in and eat?" He asked her. Sakiya shook her head.
"No, I'm not that hungry right now. I may eat a snack before bed." She said. Kakashi didn't say anything else, he just walked back inside. Sakiya wanted to be alone. She liked being alone. She was able to think and relax when she was by herself. All she thought about right now was how they were going to beat Zabuza. They all knew that he would be back. It was just a matter of when he was going to be back.
As Sakiya got up to walk inside she stopped. She felt the hairs on the back of her neck stand up. She felt as though someone was watching her. She turned around to see that there was no one there. The only problem was that the temperature dropped. She could see her breath. She scanned the tree line as far as she could see, but she couldn't see anyone or anything. She decided that it may just be because she's paranoid. She walked inside and went to her room. As she laid down, she went to sleep with this feeling that something bad was going to happen.
