Fionna's P.O.V.

Pathetic
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Marshall sat me down on his bathroom counter while he started raiding his cabinets for a first aid kit, while I silently stared down at the ground.

What an idiot

When Marshall finally found the first aid kit, he pulled out bandages and disinfectant and placed it on the counter next to me. He carefully picked up my hand and looked into my eyes.

"This may sting a little Fi"

He carefully started to dab the disinfectant across my cut knuckles, never taking his eyes off mine. Once he was done cleaning the wounds, he slowly wrapped the bandages around my knuckles.

Placing the remaining bandages back in the first aid kit, he looked down with a sigh as he places his hands either side of me on the counter.

"Why?" he said taking a deep breath.

"Why did you punch the mirror Fi?" he whispered, before he looked at me through his bangs. "What made you so upset? Please Fionna"

"I-I couldn't" Come on Fionna, its Marshall. You can tell him anything. "I couldn't...stand there and just... I couldn't look at myself" I ended with a whisper, putting my head down to stare at my feet.

Marshall lifted a hand, a tucked a strand of lose hair behind my ear.

"What do you mean?"

"I mean, I couldn't look at myself. Standing there in the mirror was everything I never wanted to see in myself, everything I hoped I never became, but there it was. Standing right there looking back at me, was nothing more than a helpless little girl, nothing more."

"Fi, you're not helpless. You're the heroine of Aaa, the rescuer and saviour of those in need, the light in the dark. You shouldn't think so little of yourself, because you will always be one of the strongest people I know, and in the times where you can't be strong, you will always have me."

Marshall took my face in both of his hands, forcing me to look into his eyes. He gave me a small smile before wrapping his arms around my waist in a hug. I responded by wrapping my arms around his shoulders and placing my chin on his shoulder.

"Thank you Marshy" I whispered.

Oh how cute, she thinks she's worth something to the Great Vampire King. Honey, weak little girls aren't anything more than a past time...

My eyes widened

Who was that?

Let's say an enemy of a friend, or in your case, of a crush.
