Chapter 8

Fionna's P.O.V.

Why are you doing this?  Fionna thought as she lay on her couch curled up in a blanket, eyes squeezed shut.

Oh little bunny, I would say it's nothing personal but that would be a lie. Let's just say I've been persuaded by someone very dear to me to make your life a living hell  The voice whispered teasingly.

I'm not afraid of you! I am Fionna the human, hero of Aaa and I'm not scared of anything!

Oh that's cute, but I think you're forgetting how I'm reaching you - I'm in your head and I have access to all of the little whispers that pass through, no matter how small I will here it and I will turn it against you, I will twist every dream to be a nightmare...
The voice said darkly before smugly whispering including your little crush on the Vampire King.

Fionna shot up, the blanket dropping dropping from her shoulders as she sat wide eyes staring shocked at the wall.

What? She thought alarmed.

That's right little bunny, I'm gonna make your crush your enemy
it said venomously before chuckling manically.

Marshall's P.O.V.

Somethings been up with Fi ever since I found her after she punched her mirror, she's been locked in her house all week. That's not the Fi I know, the Fi I know loves to adventure and would never pass up an opportunity to get out of the house.

That's it, I've had enough of this Marshall thought as he floated over to the door grabbing his umbrella before he made his way to the tree house.

Floating over to Fi's house I opened the front door to find Fionna staring at the wall looking dazed.

Shutting the door with a bang I walked over to Fionna, creeping up behind the couch sneakily.

Hehehe time to get her back

I slowly leaned over her shoulder putting my mouth right next to her ear.

"Boo" I said quickly jumping back incase she decided to strike back.

Fionna jumped from the chair with a little shriek before falling on the floor from tripping over her blanket, looking around wildly to search for the intruder only for her eyes to land on me.

I burst out into laughter, clutching my stomach as I fell to the floor from the pain in my stomach.

"Oh my glob Fi, that has to be-" I said gasping " that has to be the best one yet" I finally said, struggling to speak against my laughter.

"It wasn't funny Marsh" Fionna said, with a slight frown on her face, arms crossed across her chest.

"Yes it was, come on Fi you know it was" I said as I sat up, still giggling.

"Hey stop laughing at me" she said, her frown turning into a pout, when I noticed the corner of her mouth twitching fighting a smile.

Nah uh, she is gonna smile, she hasn't had fun all week I thought mischievously

"Fiiiiii" I said teasingly with a small smirk on my face as I rose from the floor floating over to Fionna. She looked up, eyes widening a fraction as she noticed I was moving towards her.

"Wha-what are you doing Marsh" she said as she started to shuffle backwards, legs still trapped in the blanket.

I pounced on her, straddling her legs cover by the blanket before looking down at her saying smugly "Say it's funny, and I'll get off you".

Fionna looked up before smirking, "You do realize I could easily escape from this right?"

I looked down at closer to her face, staring straight into her eyes before whispering slyly, "Why don't you give it your best shot Fi"

A small brush of pink stained her cheeks as she blinked innocently. Suddenly she slightly shook her head, before returning her gaze back to me "Okay I will" she stated confidentially as she raised her arms to shove me off.

Quickly grabbing her wrists, I pinned them to her sides before saying victoriously, "Nice try Fi. So you still haven't admitted it was funny yet".

She tilted her head in mock confusion before asking, "Now why would I do that?"

Smirk still plastered on my face I leaned down to whisper in her ear, "I can be quite persuasive"

"He-hey what are-" she stammered before I started mercilessly tickling her sides.

In a matter of seconds she was reduced to unstoppable laughter and her eyes tearing up.

"Okay okay I give up!" She said gasping.

"Those aren't the right words Fi" I said smiling down at her with a slight chuckle.

"Ok I admit it was funny!" She shouted, leaning back against the floor gulping in air as I finally stopped tickling her and stood up.

Reaching a hand down to her to help her up. She quickly looked up before the corner of her mouth whirled up. Grabbing my hand I pulled her up, only to be pulled to the ground, landing on my back with a loud thud.

"Jeez Fi" I said, eyes closed in pain, "Why'd you have to do that".

I looked up to see Fionna standing over me smugly. "Well someone had to show you who's boss".

Groaning I shut my eyes again.

This girl I thought chuckling to myself.
