Marshall's P.O.V.
"Come on Fi, where are you?" I muttered to myself as I continued to float around Aaa.
I had checked everywhere I could think of, even asked mathing Gumwad, but no one had seen her.
What happened to her? Glob I hope you're ok Bunny.
As I flew past the dark forest, I saw a flash of gold catch my eye.
"Fi?" I said. Immediately after I spoke, the gold disappeared.
Floating as fast as I could, I rushed to where I last saw the glimpse, calling out to it as I went.
This has gotta be her I thought to myself as I continued to search for what I saw.
As I neared a tree, I heard muffled cries coming from behind it, along with the faded smell of blood.
"Fi" I said softley. The cries immediately stopped, and out from behind the tree, Fionna emerged with tear soaked cheeks and bloodied knuckles.
"Marshall?" she whimpered, "Is that you?".
"Yeah Bunny, it's me" I whispered, "Come here Fi".
I opened my arms for a hug. She immediately responded by running into me and hugging my waist as tight as she could, balling her fists up and gripping on to my shirt as if she was scared I would let go.
After hugging for a minute, I slid my hands to either side of her face. "It's ok Bunny, I've got you" I whispered before planting a light lingering kiss on her forehead. I looked down into her eyes as I used my thumbs to brush away her tears.
Picking her up bridal style, she curled into my chest, sobbing quietly.
"Let's go home Fi" I whispered as I began to make my way to my house.
