Memory begin

Blonde hair bright as the sun is sprawled out as Reika is crouched down on the blood soaked ground with tears falling as she stared fully at the lifeless body of one of her comrades.

Blood dripped off of her chin as her hands shook as she looked at her reflection in the kunai in her hand.

Ragged breathing was followed by cries of hysterics as she chanted, "I'm sorry" repeatedly as saliva dripped from her mouth as her pale complexion stared into the kunai and she glared at herself.

'Why? Why do I keep going? Its not like anyone will care?'

Thoughts of the village glaring at her, throwing objects in hopes to get their anger out at her existence came to mind.

'Why do I keep living?'

Her hands shook as she shakily brought the kunai to her wrist, her body acting on the temptation of just ending her existence.

'I'm a monster! I couldn't keep my promise! I killed him! I'm pathetic, a monster!'

As she slowly dug the sharp kunai into her flesh, fresh blood oozed out and dripped off the edge of her wrist.

"What are you doing?!?" A frantic voice called out from somewhere behind the thirteen year old Reika as she gasped looking back at the distraught Tobirama who came running, throwing her kunai across the blood bath of a battlefield.

He frantically rummaged through his first aid kit, and brought out some gauze to stop the blood flow. Once he pressed down on the wound, Reika hissed in pain.

"DO NOT DO THIS AGAIN!" He said grabbing her by the chin and forcing her to look at him. "DO YOU UNDERSTAND ME?"

Reika could only look at him in shock as he showed a side of him she has never seen. "I SAID, 'DO YOU UNDERSTAND ME?!?'" He repeated as she slowly nodded her head.

His eyes softened once she did as he brought her into his embrace. "You are not a monster, Reika."

Tears streamed down her face as she whimpered. "But I am! My chakra flared and it killed him!" She yelled frantically as she began hiccuping from all the sobbing. "I promised! I promised I would protective him and I failed!"

Tobirama is quiet as he tenderly addresses her wounds. All of them.

End memory.

The hokage room is quiet as team geranium along with Sasuke, Reita, Hashirama, and Neji stands all stiff and alert as the third Hokage, Hiruzen Sarutobi sits in his desk with his eyes closed and his head leaning on the back of the chair.

"So that's the case, is it?" He'd be lying if he said he didn't find this a bit perplexing as he processed what he was told.

He opened his eyes to gauge Reika's reaction as he noticed the cloudiness in her eyes clear a bit. He briefly wondered if she had another flashback. The others all seem to look at her with mixed kinds of worry.

"So basically this is your attempt at having an alliance with the hidden leaf village." Tobirama nodded as Hiruzen looked at the dog chain around his neck.
