Memory begins
"Just remember that when you're playing volleyball, you need to rely on your teammates, Yuki."
Yuki Ukai looked to her adopted father as he sat next to her. He still wore his convenience store outfit as he shoved his hands in his pockets to keep warm. The cold Japanese winter air was more frigid than usual this year.
Yuki leaned her forehead on her knees as she thought of what he said. "But they all hate me."
"No, they don't. They're jealous is all." She looked up to see him give her a big smirk. "I mean, you are a Ukai after all."
She smiled despite how she felt. "Yeah. I'm princess Ukai!"
"And don't you ever forget that!" The two began laughing together as the night air seemed to make it into a melody.
End memory.
Reika awoke to tears falling down her face. She misses being able to smile. To laugh. She misses the innocence of her youth. She misses her team. They were family. She misses her sister and her father.
She misses Ken also. She never did get to say goodbye. She had promised to come back to him, but then the plane flew into a storm. And Yuki died.
The sound of footsteps echoing snapped her out of her grief as the shark man, Kisame entered. Reika had then closed her eyes and slowed her breathing while also slowing her heart.
She heard him, Tsk, before he checked her pulse. Her plan starts now. She heard him grumble under his breath before he walked out. She didn't dare stop what she was doing as she needed them to think she had died.
She waited until she knew they would leave the hideout. She heard their thoughts of a certain group nearby. They can't bring dead weight when they leave, so she knew they would leave her behind.
She had also pondered if they would burn her body, she can handle the pain, it's not like it will kill her.
She heard Itachi come in, he narrowed his eyes at her. 'Shit, he knows' she thought as she heard the word, "Amaturasu" but no pain following. A bag was put down gently before he had walked out.
Reika almost smiled, he is covering for her. She waited a few hours after they left before she opened her eyes.
On the bag is the keys to her chains, so she reached out for them and quickly freed herself from the chains.
She immediately weaved through hand signs where she stored extra nutrients in a seal for emergencies such as these. Her body soaked up the nutrients dry, but it wasn't enough.
Her body still looks frail and weak, but not to the point where she could drop dead at any moment, not anymore.
She then flashed to her seal she left knowing the entire time, that the group of people they were fearing are her allies. She leaned against a tree searching for them.
When she found them, her eyes lit up in hope and excitement. Team geranium had come to save her. 'You need to rely on your teammates'.
She began walking, but after a couple of steps, she lost balance and fell forward. She closed her eyes embracing herself but was caught by a pair of arms. Immediately knowing the code, she called out, "Moon." She looked up to see her Tobirama Senju smiling gently at her.
"Hey Sun, sorry we took so long."
"Moon, why did you-" Hinata stopped mid-sentence as she took in my appearance. "Let me heal you Sun."
