"Joonie, baby, please come out of there." I sigh, wrapping my hand around the doorknob. A soft sob is all I get in response. "Darling, I just want to help."
"D-Don't need help! 'm fine." Namjoon cries, refusing to open the door.
"Fine. I'll just sit here until you decide to open up and talk." I sit down, leaning my back against the wall beside the bathroom door.
"Just g-go 'way!" He sniffles.
"I'm not leaving you, Namjoon." I say. "I refuse, I'm not gonna let you sit there and cry alone. You won't accept comfort easily, I know that, but baby I want to do this for you."
It's completely silent for a moment, only the sound of Namjoon's soft sniffles filling the area around us. The doorknob eventually turns, and the door swings open, revealing Namjoon. His hair is sticking up; eyes red and puffy from the amount of crying he's done.
"Jinnie...." He sobs, throwing himself into my arms. I rub his back comfortingly and hold him close.
"Baby....what's bothering you?" I kiss the top of his head.
"Th-They're so mean t-to me! I try t-to get them to l-like me, but I-I don't know how!" He cries into my shoulder. "It h-hurts hyung!"
"My love....you talked to your parents today, didn't you?" I sigh. He nods against my shoulder, hands gripping onto my shirt. "Oh, sweetheart. You know they just want to hurt you....I wish you wouldn't pick up the phone and talk to them."
"I c-can't help it, hyung!" He hiccups.
"I know. I know, Joonie. Everything will be okay." I cradle him to my chest. "Jinnie is here to protect you. I love you, Joon."
He cries into my chest, allowing me to hold him and whisper sweet things into his ear until he calms down.
"Feeling better, doll?" I mumble.
"Y-Yeah.....thank you, hyung. I'm sorry for being so difficult." He sniffles, looking up at me.
"Don't apologize, Joon. Your parents and I are going to have a talk, though. They have no right to treat you that way." I frown.
"Don't worry about it, Jinnie. As long as I have you, I'll be okay. I love you."
"I love you more."
